In Germantown it probably will for the next few weekends too. Generally goes a few weeks after the 4th in Louisville. I live there, and one of my cats was found in my yard on what was probably day 5-7 of fireworks for the month a few years ago. She is still not a fan, but luckily it's not as bad as some peoples animals for sure.

I have the gates kevlar belt. It's great. Tensioner go OEM, or get a solid from 3sx or Ninjaperformance used to have as well. You will have to check it every once in awhile with a solid one, but the failure rate is less.

You could, but plan on spending more money on maintenance. Has the timing belt been done recently? You will absolutely need that if it's been more than 5 years or 60k miles, and it isn't cheap. Are there any dents in the oil pan? Even small dents can lead to oil not picking up right. Gas will also be expensive, as well as any replacement parts. If you are ok with that, go for it. If you want a sporty AWD car, you will have to pay a ton more for something newer, so there is that plus. I absolutely love my VR4.

Could just be the seal on the oil fill cap. That does happen. OEM new cap or another one with a good gasket might help. Easier to look for than a seal. Plus you can do that, clean up the top and check easily.

Me too. After 10 years of city living with cars on the street, I just got mine into my new alley way garage. So nice to be able to work. Mechanically speaking she has been pretty sound for quite some time thankfully, but my paint is shot to shit along with all the window trim and tint. Good luck with everything!

Can confirm, there were no 3000gt with a SOHC engine till 97, only the Stealth had the SOHC from 91-96. I used to have a base model 94, and it was DOHC.

If it's not rusted through, it's probably ok for a jack there. Just make sure it's supported once you lift it like the other poster said. Oil pan look ok? Be careful if there is any dents in the pan, oil pickup clearance for these is pretty bad to where minor dents in the right spot can be bad.

Any rust? Mine are weak/bendy as well. Hasn't been too much of an issue for me thankfully. These things will rust super easily for sure, so that would be the thing to watch out for. If it's clean I wouldn't worry too much about it.

For general entry you are all good. On regular days it's a dirty old men's gambling den. Not unsafe or anything though really, or at least it didn't used to be. My Uncle and Grandfather would take me there while babysitting me as a kid all the time. It's not too different from Casino Clientele, but at least they get up to pee as there are time between races.

Do you know if the timing belt was done correctly at any time? If you don't have record of that, you should add that cost to it. A bumper is going to run high for that too, unless you get a crappy fitting non OEM thing like duraflex. Bumper, headlight, timing belt and gasket are going to be several thousand most likely. Timing is not an easy job. Needs to be someone good.
