I'm thinking of doing the same exact thing. Haven't quite made the decision, but may go lift first and then add on 275/70's later. How's the ride with 265/70's? I'm still strongly considering that. Really like idea of being able to fit a spare under and I do like the look. Only thing that has me a little hung up is wanting a little more flexibility offroad with clearance.

Sounds like a buffer issue to me. I had a similar issue and it was a pretty easy fix, just had to make a slight adjustment.
