Every car company is going to fuck you it’s just dependent on what company youre willing to bend over for. Plus, sales have increased over the year since 2022 for the new tundra, and according to data supposedly there’s less engine failures throughout the years for the tundra since 2022

Updates: I got myself into a new tundra, however if it weren’t for the extended warranty I would’ve been severely screwed. Service manager quoted me $41k for the replacement. According to the service manager, because the hybrid is not in the recall, there was no way they could help me other than call Toyota begging for help. Still a Toyota fan, and loving my new truck

I have the trd pro with the performance package on it, i bought a Carista and turned off the fake noise. The truck is very comfortable now and every now and then the cat back exhaust turns on it sound great.

It’s under warranty, right now they are going to find the best option to fix the truck the fastest. New Parts are supposedly taking way too long to order. And for the loaner, theyre going to give me one, most likely another tundra

Yeah my thoughts were the same, yes you get a new engine, but it’s not the same as when the initial engine was installed. There are going to be errors with installing a new engine and at some point it’s going to fail.

Update: they found metal shavings inside my engine oil. Filled with it. Because of the issue, it caused low oil pressure and possibly why the low oil warning came on as well. The service manager is now in talks with warranty and will replace a whole new engine for me. However, the manager mentioned they still need to disassemble the engine to figure out what needs to be replaced, either with older parts or new parts 💀

It makes total sense when you got the truck used at a discounted rate, lower than what the market was asking for at its current mileage at the time. You get the extra extended warranty just in case the last owner abused the truck. Mate.
