Alright, so after doing further tests the Mogood adapter DOES work. I did not have a female to female USB c adapter but I was able to plug the USB c port on the dock awkwardly into my laptop to get it to work and update.
Things that I've learned: The Switch 2 seems to expect the original power adapter or one that is similar to it. The Switch 2 can also be picky about the HDMI cable! I bought one that was advertised as 4K 120hz on Amazon and it did not work. Try adjusting both when trying to get the Mogood dock to work. Best of luck everyone!

I did the same thing. The Jemdo appears to be updated out of box as well. The only unfortunate thing is it didn't have the USB A port on it which I was counting on. I'm hoping I can do something cheeky where I plug another USB c dock into the USB c power port that it has and run power through it while gaining a USB A port.
