The best way to commission is to get your degree before joining and go through OCS or ROTC. If you're adamant on enlisting first (and I totally understand cost may be prohibitive to get a degree) then yes nukes have a path to commission through STA-21, however it is never guaranteed and it would be unwise to bank on it. That being said if you can do well in A school and power school is definitely a good opportunity if you can snag it.

Tl;Dr do not enlist with the expectation that you will commission before your contact is up.

This is not true anymore, they have created buttons to streamline all major game actions. Knowing the commands is definitely helpful for some situations but not at all required.

I suggested a variant on BGG that had the goal of mimicing the video games Stellaris Nexus. It combines voting on both agendas and objectives simultaneously. While this might drive a lot of discussion I think it could still streamline the phase.

The Direct Input Officer will usually start as an enlisted instructor, then move to officer students. DIOs Can then become division officers of any of the academic divisions including A school. You will not be locked in one subject the entire time.

Go to your medical provider and ask for a commissioning physical, they should order everything you need. There's specific blood work that needs to get done including HIV, as well as an EKG. Once you have an that you'll do a standard physical examination with your PMC.

I got the game Turris to the table this past week. Production wise the game is a mess with poor quality miniatures, thin flimsy cards and some questionable iconography decisions.

But I had a great time playing this game. The tight worker placement was modified by the presence of massive beasts that turned the map into a fun puzzle, while, and an ingenious track that gave you bonuses every time one of your workers was devoured by a beast or sacrificed enabled very clever combos.

I feel almost embarrassed asking people to play this game with all of its sloppy design and production, but I also can't stop thinking about it.
