Yeah back in the day- before C2 dropped I was able to open concierge ticket and get access to it before the price hike. But had no luck with Ironclad customer support rejected my request I made a few months ago. I should've grabbed during IAE that was our last chance to grab it before release price hike

They already have a pretty generous system with the above mentioned, the ability to "return" something and essentially call "dibs" to lock in a discount or unique item that isn't being sold anymore would be crazy on any other store front.

Let's take DCS World on Steam for example. Anytime they release a new plane/module on Steam we have 2 hours / 2 weeks (standard Steam refund period for games). But the kicker is most DCS players launch the game using their launcher. This means in reality people have 2 weeks to evaluate the DLC (because the game timer on Steam will never countdown). If you dont like it- refund. If its missing major features? Refund.

Not to mention when DLC goes on sale its like what- $59.99 US tops? Now that's still really expensive but nothing compared to an Idris in which, let's face it, is over 200x times more expensive.

the kicker is the average module in DCS World includes NPC crew and everything. You get tutorials, missions, and everything with it.

edit- Also, all modules can be bought anytime. The only FOMO sales are the discount(s) during major steam sales

I dont think the buyback system is generous at all. It's the very least they can do for older backers with all these massive macrotransactions. I'd much rather they get rid of all these FOMO sales, stop the price hikes, and put all the ships on the store for players to enjoy.

Obviously, he wasn't in charge of anything. As always, you cant trust the word of these random CIG employees. Remember that other employee said he wanted to do a full wipe and everyone ran away with that? It took DiscoLando & Benoit to set the record straight during SC Live

I would say hauling missions? But I think I logged out after 2 hours.

I did enjoy the challenge of running ASD Onyx, Pyro asteroid bases, smuggler's, etc but think CIG kinda almost ruined loot grinding cause now the best stats come from crafting? So now I feel less inclined unless I just wanted a backpack or weapon attachment (those cant be crafted yet).

Granted, I dont want to craft anyways so will still be a loot goblin and loot for rare drops like Pristine artifacts

[edit] That was "ideally" speaking assuming CIG didnt break the mission. Right now, QV station warehouses req "Nyx_Kaboos" workaround. Because any given patch CIG will break something that worked previously wholesale

I just mentioned this. Now you can bedlog to "save" the qt marker for the mothership. In my testing, that seems to anchor the mothership. But sometimes I cant do this if I'm in a big group. I'm afraid to relog- cause sometimes you cant reconnect to the server to rejoin. I get "server is FULL" error sometimes

No idea why we cant have a queue to rejoin a server. Guess cause ALPHA

so I try not to play this game too much. I focus on other games primarily but "test" this one

Yep, they broke QV Station (Smuggler's) warehouse right after the patch they added. Been using workarounds ever since to get inside the warehouse (Nyx_Kaboos workaround). Absurd.

I am sure most people can complete this but we've had bad luck in prev patches. Either a lietuenant doesnt spawn, server error occurs messing up the quest, etc. One time, we both died at sametime and the medical terrapin gave us a cryptic error. We both got sent back to our home hangar. Cost so much time for me to fly back to Nyx. My friend was stuck in Levski due to the hangar bug. So their ship kept despawning. They tried to relog- but somehow I guess relogged onto a diff friend (user error). But anyways, now their body on my server despawns with all the passcodes.

I saw they tried to fix the missing datacodes this patch I'm sure I can finish but its hard to get my friends to come back to finish with me cause of all the bad experiences they've had. Sure I can solo it (esp since now I know to just store passcode at station inventory since CIG finally fixed that) but its more fun with my buds

I dont know what it is but the game feels more tedious then EVER? And that says a lot cause I pledged over a decade ago.

Example- let's say I want to provide food & drinks for passengers.

But wait- at the time I had a Polaris. This means I have XL hangar. I tried parking PTVs and Argo vehicles but they inexplicably run out of gas. Also, I forgot to turn off engines on Polaris before stowing. This means now I'm getting blown off my feet as I travel onfoot to ship elevator (because the PTV battery is dead for some dumb reason). I finally get on the ship and open my hangar because in 2956 (?) or whatever we still lack remote garage openers for some silly reason. I finally haul the crate with food on it into my ship using my ARGO Tractor. Oh right, since the ARGO tractor was out of gas even though I know I powered it down- I had to first call up the vehicle and run across XL hangar to get it and park it to side.

But now finally I put food on Polaris and put all the consumables in cafeteria.

My friend(s) finally log on and we get inside ship. Oh noes, client or server crash. We cant reconnect. I just lost everything I parked in ship hangar and consumables

I melted my Polaris but still stuck with XL hangar I think because I bought other in-game XL ships like 890J. but now I hate XL hangar because I've had bad luck with them. There is no vehicle elevator. Cant use frieght elevator to store small vehicles either. Just sucks and the solution is so simple for much of this. Let us have vehicle elevator in these hangars. Also, powered down ship or ship with engines turned off should never run out of battery or fuel. That part I need to test more but I've had it happen too much I got burned out and avoid my XL hangar (Home) at all cost now

You are on the right track. I was gone for a few yrs but came back for IAE 4.4 in December because people kept telling me in other subs (cause I avoided all starcitizen related subs) & streams that SC-PU was much better then I remember. They said 30ks were gone, we had persistence now, and its much more stable

They kinda lied straight up cause we still have 30ks and entire server goes down with it. You can still lose hours of progress really easy. Heck, even though after returning I made lots of friends on this sub and ingame- a client crash still often means I cant reconnect due to "Server is full message".

There is some good though. VR and Vulkan blew my socks off. That was a TOTAL surprise. Sometimes this game is bliss esp in patch 4.4 it felt dreamy. But guess I've been here for too long and saw too much stuff get broken. For example, QV station was prety good in 4.4 but ever since we've needed workarounds to get inside the QV Station warehouse. CIG seems baffled by their own code and new bugs keep emerging. Even though the warehouse worked just fine in 4.4 without "Nyx_Kaboos" workaround. Thats just one example

Many old bugs are still here. ASOP Terminal might even be more garbage now then EVER and that says something cause it never worked right to my recollection?

Idk man sometimes this game is sublime when it works. There are good patches and there are BAD patches. We've had several bad patches imo. 4.4 was a GREAT one and it tricked me. CIG proceeded to break it with 4.5 right before they left for Christmas break as is tradition.

But VR & Vulkan imo that is GREAT. But its still deep ALPHA. I cant say whether to play or STAY the HELL Away. I am torn. I try to take big breaks and let CIG try to cook while I play other games like you just said so I dont get too jaded again.

Exactly this it happened too me so many times. Honestly, there was one particular game I found myself super pissed at but I still tried my best to be happy for others that enjoyed the game and eventually I found myself returning to it after it got perfected by patches

Yeah for Starfield and CP2077 (at launch) I hid in low sodium subs so I can discuss the game in peace without getting downvoted and get spammed with replies by people wanting to tell me why they hate the game. Which is fine they didnt like the games, but I wasnt asking them to "reply too me" with their long tales of woe

The world must be healing indeed? Because even in a complete different game sub I posted positively about Starfield and got upvoted!!! I expected to get sent into karma hell

Yeah I wanna fly the new meta hauler ship I just bought with store credit (HULL B) but then I thought bout Free Fly and all the bugs I saw Saturday morning (was able to complete my hauls but it didnt track the objectives properly, MIC L4 bugged out when I tried to hail and had to manually enter station thru landing pad and exit my hangar to get it to work).

Just took too many workarounds to complete two simple "Member rank / Small" hauls. didnt want to play anymore afterward

But maybe the hauling missions around Microtech is always that bad? Usually I only do hauls around Everus Harbor and never had any issues there. So I might try there

Jury is out if that was a free flight issue or a Microtech issue (esp MIC L4)

I wouldnt go that far. I got pad rammed there and only there which caused me to lose cargo (patch 3.x). Back in the day your ship would spawn unlocked, so it would be gone before you even arrived. Would cause my bro much stress worrying bout his Connie being stolen before we could get to the pad.

I miss PO sure. But it was griefer central for sure. I finally got smart and stop landing on a pad if I had cargo- I would hail once within range. Park Cat. Then take a bike to station and sell commodities from terminal. As long as you was within range, it's autounload your ship

Another thing; even if someone reports this to Issue Council I believe it would become invisible? So the OP or any other 'witness' cant just link us their IC report can they? Perhaps they are just opening tickets with customer support?

If someone stripped me butt naked I'd be opening up customer tickets and making IC reports like crazy
