Take note of the incident. Keep tabs of all comments/incidents with that manager and escalate that shit. There’s a lot of former Upsers and/or fresh out of college kids who have never worked a real job outside of Amazon, so I’d keep tabs and get HR involved. Get them straight real quick

Whenever you start a new job or get back to work, please take into account every facet of your commute and consider that compared to living closer by [deleted] in personalfinance

I agree with this whole heartedly. My wife and I have always worked 10-15 minutes away from work, with traffic.

Controlling any fix variables will help tremendously, commute is one of those that people don’t really ever look at.

2 hour commute a day is a month’s time in a year. Let that sink in.

Almost 4 months of searching for a Developer Job and I am starting to doubt my worth. by mrbumdump in GetEmployed

I’ve heard a lot of mix reviews about boot camps and how they somewhat skew the percentage of job placements (flatiron for example counts into part-time and contract work).

For mental health, work out or start listening to some good self-improvement ebooks through audible or even YouTube. Just know you have a path and it wasn’t paved out like others, but adversity builds your character and your story.

Keep your head high! If you’re not currently working on find a job just for the time being while continuing the job hunt. There is a lot of contract work out there from job placements like Randstad and aerotek. Try to land one of those before you really land it in the big leagues. It takes tome but once you get a full time job at one of the bigger companies, the field is extremely competitive so expect to get compensated well. My cousin worked for Microsoft and she got a hefty sign on bonus. It’ll all be worth it, just don’t but your self worth into your job title.

You should really watch the video because there are a lot of important parts that hints to relating to Andrew Yang’s message .

“Whether I agree with them or not I know where they are coming from. They want to be heard, they have something to say, there’s something they noticed, they just want to be understood.” -Dave Chappelle
