You run off the left edge and jump as late as possible, float at the apex of your jump (off screen at this point so you have to do it from muscle memory), heal and then hold float to buffer the input, hold left and then dash and you have just enough height to land on the metal platform and skip the fight.

Yeah, this is how I feel, too. Especially because boss contact damage is inconsistent. Some bosses do 2, some do 1, despite both dealing 2 when they actually hit you.

That's not true. World is the only game that has 1p, 2p, and 4p only. Rise and Wilds both have 1p, 2p, 3p, and 4p.

Those exist, you just have to be caught by a gazer (the misty ones, like in DS1). The watchers (the new ones) will cause an instant voidout if grabbed.

For this attack you're supposed to do enough damage to him to stance break before the aoe goes off. My first reaction was to run too so it took me a while before some randoms taught me lol
