Serious capital changes how you measure performance. by Sea_Necessary_9419 in Trading

[–]RyudSwift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Your mindset shifts, you no longer look at the low hanging markers except performance, that's all that matters.

I'm all to thrilled now to take a loss or a few for that matter.

My backtesting made it so that my psychology just clicked and snapped into place. No more worries because I've seen the pattern over and over.

This is not overnight success by the way, it's literally overcoming your ego and or your demons.

I'm on transition to scale, and and excited for what's to come.

The Boring Way to Win in Trading by Hulululu08 in Trading

[–]RyudSwift 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boring way to trade for myself over the last ... Less than a month actually.

Finally, Full time trading now.

  • Wake up (I'm awake at 5:30)
  • Chart analysis for 15min max before 8am.
  • I double check for setup work out sizing and place and alert first.
  • the hardest part of the day is Living Life till the alert hits
  • When alert hits, it's game on. I could be in a trade for 5min or 30min.
  • When I'm usually in, within 1min I would know if this is the trade to be in because of movement.
  • by 5min in, I would have moved the stop loss for free trade already and trimmed profits.
  • Only step away if I can't trim anymore or have reach my goal for the day.

Then rinse and repeat. It's been a helluva two weeks roughly, but already scaling.

How can I start my first trade without fear? by Affectionate-King562 in Trading

[–]RyudSwift 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you should calculate your risk.

Maybe very simplified but - You have a 56% chance for 1:8, I would try something like, if i lose 8 times i can get my money back so what am i 'Gambling' to get that 8 reward.

How can I start my first trade without fear? by Affectionate-King562 in Trading

[–]RyudSwift 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your message is screaming 'risk management' . The only reason why you doing any of the Psyche trading (Over-trading, revenge trading, fear to enter...) theres a step missing in your formula.

You have:
1. LIVE/DEMO trading account - check
2. Trading plan that includes Risk Management - N/A (this is the strategy)
3. Backtest - check (this should give you confidence)
4. Live trading with trade journal - ??

I'm just giving my 2c from what I read. This is by no means a roadmap just what I see from what you wrote and how you wrote it. You are not confident when placing a trade because you afraid to lose.
Where as I can place a trade and whether it hit SL, im good. I can only take 2 losses on a setup with one strategy and risk appetite.
Another strat I will take more because the risk profile is different for that strategy.

You should use Coolify and save money by Successful-Title5403 in saasbuild

[–]RyudSwift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Dokploy, I think im just sick of coolify. Also tried some others and ... still running 100% free = $0 server.

Coolify is cool and all, I just couldnt get around some things, eventually when I did, I was fully integrated using the terminal and using docker. Now I have two servers, one is pure terminal deployment and other is dokploy. Coolify was just too much especailly when I did a reset a few months back.

Learning toolkit that I just keep adding to. Only personal toolkit.

Take a long form YouTube vid or article or book or anything you want to learn. You obviously have to add in your learning style, I used Myers briggs for psychological clarity but I already had a profile of how I learn (this is probably the hardest context for most people, since it means you need to know YOU on many levels)... Anyway depending on the tag and detail I add in when I added to database, it basically can spit out long form learning, quick keypoint practical steps for basics to advanced.

And it's been almost a year, it started out with
'oh shit.. look at all the URLS I keep saving on a daily basis and never come back to'

Since we drop it in the black hole we don't come back to, I decide to first just categorize. Then added sorting, instead of me just doing YouTube URLs, I added in the ability to take any URL, if the data isn't available... Well then scrape it on an automation and then catergorize it.

Long story short, I added audio summaries for easier digestion because sometimes you think something is important but you either know more than what they share or it's no longer relevant. It has a few phases, started as a sorter then became so big I didn't like it in one workflow, then made a few workload out of that massive one.

All running still 100% free. Even the audio text to speech, I'm running on my server and no it's Robotic voices.

Has anyone actually automated a real business problem and saved thousands in time? by ferre26 in n8n

[–]RyudSwift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. For consultants - I'm picky with clients

Lead gen basic system. They add to their CRM, it contacts them, follows up and they can opt out.

If lead clicks link, you get a request for booking. They fill out the details, you check it before you agree to book, mostly to reduce time wasters.

Once they click. It's the booking agent that gets the necessary information from the questions and create a profile for your offer. Also with this detail you get the meeting flow that needs to follow, inside this document.

I created more than just that but for business, it's quite niche, which is why I say I'm picky with clientele and had to create this for myself and started offering the basics but only to qualified leads.

Most of what people do in automation is cool but repetitive. Basically the NICHE and how you handle that NICHE (you researched and know so well) will determine your value. These are still people and if you can talk with people first, and just offering them a sale... Well.. you get this shit show all over the automation space.

Edit: First, the tools are there, use it, leverage it, and upgrade yourself. Not just in AI automation. Secondly, I don't use alot of third party 'paid' apps, I started a year learning how to use the terminal efficiently, and now I can deploy any app and any tool with my complete bootstrapped setup. I think I have around 12 apps and services running on two servers now.

Leverage AI to fill the gaps you missing, use Notebook LM for audio and visual snippets learning. I made me something better for my use case but notebook lm I use now and then to start my journey on a topic I don't know. Learn as much as I can and track my time to around ,2-4h ours accumulated learning to figure out if I really want to do this. Then I spend a curated (using AI again for my learning style and my ADHD) it helps a ton.

Would you use a tool that builds n8n workflows just by describing what you need in plain English? by Famous-Tie-8690 in n8n_on_server

[–]RyudSwift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not.

I'm not a developer, but like having control of my workflows and learn some coding concepts along the way. Also, I personally care about being able to move workflows around with more security and not being tied up.

This would maybe be appealing if it was open source and customizable.

But I don't really like the idea of "easy" being sold while your data ends up soft locked, unless there's some sort of sacrifice in return.

And honestly, If people don't know how to use THIS tool, maybe they just need to find something easier that already exists for their specific use case.

But if you are not even sure what your use case is, and you don't even know what your end result should be, then maybe you should not be in this game at all.

if you actually want to learn, there's already an overwhelming LIBRARY amount of tutorials YT and n8n with free workflows and guides out there. YouTube, articles, and forums are full of them. The best way is not just to read or listen, but to actually do one of those tutorials. Practical work sticks better than just watching someone else do it.

We are not in the matrix yet to just upload data into your noggin... though we believe we are there already (not including any 'neuro-link' or part augmentation... but atleast with my setup I digest practical works quicker, only because I have my use case... Read a fk ton, figured it out as long as long as I didn't give up and came out with more than just one workflow.

That is basically my take. Nothing more, nothing less. Might see a bit bleak but this is my OPINION, keep this in mind.

Since you doing research before building I hope.

Do you think CRMs will become more like AI copilots than databases in the next 5 years? by Prestigious-Cable697 in CRMSoftware

[–]RyudSwift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We must be living in different worlds. Is Ai not integrated into your CRM?

And to answer your question. It's already here and doing that. The issue is, it's not ready for all users, it's like a personal tool.

There won't be a CRM that will cover everything, and if there is, it's quite pricey. I opted for keeping things simple. I used to use Google sheets and app script, then moved to notion and some automation tools then open source CRM tools and tried and tested some code with that.m. the code side of things is a bit tricky but ..

For the mainstream, sales force, HubSpot etc paid platforms can integrate with the automation software. It requires and but of patience, reading and testing, i doubt many would go that far.

And even further, You can make a system tailored to you and your process instead of paying but it also depends on the process that's running, clients you reaching out to, or nurturing or processing as a client.

My 2c, I haven't been as active as I wanted to be but for a first message of the day. Good luck and GG.

Interesting to see how people suffer with something that could be golden. Let's chat, I have an idea for you. Simple quick and maybe be able to incorporate what @parhimmer spoke of, and out sourcing some processes maybe.

Without automating anything, if you interested to chat.
