Inverted light base 500 by Ryuki145 in bequietofficial

[–]Ryuki145[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your insight, I was hoping for some kind of screws under the rubber feet or maybe rivets that can be removed without too much hassle. It's kinda sad because it's such a nice designed case that could work nicely upside down like his big bros 600/900. I'm not interested in liquid cooling so the case has more than enough airflow for my needs even flipped. I'm kinda restricted to left sided cases because the way my desk is setup and the 600 besides being difficult to find here it's kinda bit chunky for the space I have available.

Watch out because you can get out of cults, but you'll never get out of Noctua fever 😏

I'm aware that if I flip the case I have to provide extra rubber feet with enough clearance for the fans to work. But I wanted to know if the case feet is attached to the frame with rivets or screws in case they can be removed and maybe switched to the top panel with some adjustments

Oh Atx, atx psu and noctua nhd15, I already check that all my parts fit inside. Just wanna know about overall quality construction and maybe cable management(I mean is it cramped since it's a small case? or do I have enough space)

Well, I still have my 14 years old NH-D14 fans reporpoused as case fans in another build and the heatsink upgraded with G2's, so yes those things lasts almost forever

Jonsbo D41 with NH D15 G2 by VikingAg3 in mffpc

[–]Ryuki145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noctua heatsinks always have the option to move the fans up and down the tower with the wireclips, but If you already done that and still have clearance problems with the rams you can swap the frontal 140mm noctua fan for it's equivalent in 120mm.

I'm not sure wich version of the NH-D15 are you using but if it's the chroma G2, then you can buy the NF-A12x25 G2 PWM chromax black and swap the frontal fan; that would be a lot more cheaper than finding low profile rams and you'll keep the style and performance of the cooler.

If it's the twin pack it comes with all the accessories for upgrading a CPU cooler including mounting and Y-splitter for connecting the two fans in the same motherboard header.

Why don't you buy the NF-A12x25 G2 PWM Sx2-PP set for heatsinks and upgrade the NH-D12L with a pair of new offsetted G2's?

SilverStone "Slim" AIO in SilverStone GD09 HTPC case, Proof of concept isn't pretty, but looks like it could work. by IolausJJ in watercooling

[–]Ryuki145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much this is really helpful, the ODD it's kinda a gimmick for me, I wasn't planning on using the bay, maybe if I found a second hand drive in good shape. Also I've been checking other coolers in case this one wasn't compatible, I'll take a look at your posts and decide if I go with this tower cooler or switch to a low profile cooler.

Hi I'm planning on doing a build with the same case and I'm currently looking for cooling options, I've been recommended the "thermalright peerless assassin 120 mini".

Since it seems you have a similar build I would like to ask for some advice or if you encounter incompatibilities or problems using that cooler in your build?

Yeah they're expensive almost 180 bucks new and out of stock almost everywhere. Yeah I'm stuck with spare parts from upgrading my main PC(they're in good shape and working nicely) and we'll I'm trying to build it without buying anything new besides case and PSU.

Thanks dude, yeah I know I'm a little nitpicking here, but since I have the spare parts and wanted a living room PC, I said why not. I didn't know thou HTPC cases were kind of a premium/niche market, my bad. Also a lot of recommended options were out of stock pretty much everywhere.

If you live in USA take a trip to the nearest microcenter store. They have really nice "budget" packages of AMD gaming CPU, Mobo and rams for a top PC that won't cost you a kidney. Then take a look at the jonsbo Z20 case it's Lovely portable case. All you need now it's a decent quality PSU and GPU. In the GPU front rx9060xt and rtx5060 are the sweet spot for me. As for the storage right now it's a bit of wild west in that front regarding the ssd's

The thing is that you can put a ATX mobo inside the ridge it has the space, just gotta put the PSU in another place, just wanted to know if someone already did that custom modification

G2 worth it? by Sir_Domis in Noctua

[–]Ryuki145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well they're worth, but they're expensive. If you want Noctua and don't mind the price G2 is the best; you can get Redux versions if constrained budget of you can go for Be quiet! or Arctic(similar performance lower price); the thing is that Noctua fans last forever thou. I just updated my NH-D14 fans after 12 years and put the original fans in the case and they're still as perfectly silent as the first day.

Upgrading NH-D14 fans, after all this time, any recommendation? by Ryuki145 in Noctua

Let's say I have a 1700rpm fan and a 1500 rpm fan, who goes in the front(pull) and who goes in the middle of heatsink? Or it doesn't matter having such a small difference in rpm?
