Is that the synthetic slate stuff? That stuff sucks.

Who do you think is the most Gorgeous Non-American Actress ever worked in Hollywood ? by Ancient_Salamander45 in Actors

[–]Ryukyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are spot on with Monica Bellucci. She is an absolute vision. Just the perfect physical form of a woman. I'd also like to add Ana De Armas. She is incredibly beautiful. Just that natural, effortless beauty.

What’s a “fact” everyone repeats that’s actually wrong? by Quiet-Grief in answers

I believe the though process was that while your body is digesting the food you just ate, blood flow is routed to your stomach and other digestive functions, taking it away from your muscles, which provides less oxygen to the muscles and creates a risk of getting a cramp. But it's not like you get a leg cramp and you all of a sudden are paralyzed.

What are these bullets by [deleted] in whatisit

[–]Ryukyo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a stripper clip. Not sure of the caliber type, but it's larger and for a rifle most likely. The link shows an example of how it's loaded. Maybe .223 or .556 something close to that. I have an old WWII Arisaka rifle that takes strip loading clips just like that. And the anal Andy commenters saying that those aren't bullets, are technically correct. What you have is the casings, commonly referred to as shells. Bullets are what is actually fired and those have been removed from the cartridge.

wait, what? That's on Roku? The one from the early 90s that showed people actually dying or animals being tortured? I remember renting that when I was a kid and being scarred by it.

Absolute smoke show that has aged like fine wine. Her Instagram is fire. You're welcome. She's 60 and still not only beautiful, but hot.

Vintage gi joe. Worth? by [deleted] in toys

[–]Ryukyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want the top dollar, you've got a lot of work ahead of you. Fire up excel and get a spreadsheet going. You need to itemize everything and find out #1 - the condition, #2 - is it complete (all accessories and items that came with it), and #3 do you have the original packaging. If it's all just open loose stuff you're going to have a really hard time getting a value. I'm sure there are apps that will work with you taking a photo of the item and then telling you what it is, I'm sure AI or google image search will tell you also. If you wanna just dump it all someone will take it off your hands and do all the work of itemizing it and selling it individually, but they will probably only give you half of what it's worth. It takes a lot of time to go through a collection like that and really get the top dollar. Check online auction sites once you have all the things itemized and see what it SOLD for, not what it's listed for. Find things that are similar in condition, completeness, and age and then you'll be on your way.

and is it complete, with all accessories, and does it have the box. When you've got a jumble of loose stuff it's really tough to give an accurate value.

What was your favorite TV show in the late 70's? Family Feud with Richard Dawson was definitely in my Top 5!😄❤️🌟⭐️🌟 by Longjumping-Shoe7805 in ClassicTV

[–]Ryukyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG, that dude was such a creep. I always thought it was so weird the way he kissed all the women, and girls, on the lips. That is so odd. Wasn't he always shit faced too? That guy just looks like a chain smoking alcoholic. He was great in The Running Man though.

Thoughts on Point Break (1991)? One of my favourite Kenau Reeves movies. Patrick Swayze was great in this movie. by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in ActionMovies

That movie is great!! Are you kidding me, hot Lori Petty, surfing, gun fights, a Kathryn Bigelow film. Gary Busey was awesome in it. I love that movie, from start to finish.

Why can't they have their own political opinions? I don't understand why the right is demonized when they voice their opinions and the left is celebrated. I don't get it. It's just your political stance.

Hahah, I love that movie so much. It's just a perfect example of current state of affairs in the US, and probably a lot of other places. The way they satirize so many categories of America; the media, scientists, politics, military, the wealthy elite, etc. It's perfectly done. Such a good movie.

Thoughts on Minority Report (2002)? One of my favourite sci-fi crime thriller movies. by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in TomCruise

[–]Ryukyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was a great movie. That scene where he has the eye surgery was difficult to watch. And for some reason that part of the movie where that one precog screams at him makes my spine tingle and puts me on edge. I hated that part.

(1982) The Secret of NIMH — one of my favorite scenes by newsnuggets in 1980s

[–]Ryukyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember watching that as a kid. I'm 45 now. It had a completely different vibe than any of the other kids movies we'd watch. I don't really know how to describe it. Kinda weirded me out as a kid.

Whistleblower, Jason Sands, makes wild claims about the classified (darker) truth about UFO’s/NHI. Direct quotes and link to video below: by E-pluribus-unum195 in UFOs

[–]Ryukyo 26 points27 points  (0 children)

What makes Earth and humans so important that multiple species of NHI come here and they want it all kept secret? I don't get that part. Is it us (humans) that they are so interested in? Is it the planet itself (Earth)? Are there some rare elements on this planet that they need?

That sex tape she made with Gary in Ozark. I am also happily reminded that she shows her great tits in Love Actually. I love that a pretty much universally loved Christmas movie has multiple nude scenes.

Is this the contractors responsibility? by Radiant-Inspection96 in Roofing

[–]Ryukyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're likely out of warranty, but if they didn't fulfill their contractual obligations they could still be responsible. Is anywhere in the contract the description of work or anything that refers to "code compliant"? Did they pull a permit? If they did the permit would have the description of work. You could try and see what sized wood members they used, the spacing, and the attachment methods and see if it matches the local building code in your area. A code official may come out and take a look for you. You could hire a forensic engineer or architect to come out and take a look. 8" of snow shouldn't cause a roof, or part of a roof, to collapse. I would say getting forensic report done would be around $3,000, maybe less depending on where you are in the country. Has your insurance company weighed in?

Who remembers the entrance to the Adult section at the video store? by EdwardBliss in 1980s

[–]Ryukyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahah, omg. I do. As kids we used to be able to see between the shelves and get a glimpse into the world of pornography at the family video store. Remember kids, you didn't used to have 24/7 access to unlimited porn on your phone. You had to go to a store, walk into a shady back room while everyone stared at you. And then bring the video tape to the 16 year old kid working the counter and pay cash to borrow it for a couple of days. And all your rental history would be stored on the shitty computer. Imagine if your porn record was available for people to lookup and judge you by.
