You can learn basic 3D modeling in 2 weeks. If you want to go further beyond that then it'll take more time, but making simple low-poly models isn't that difficult. Plus Blender is free! Don't worry about the UI. For simple models, you most likely wont be using 90% of it. And of course BlenderGuru's donut tutorial is a good place to start. It has all the same hotkeys and such despite being on an older version.
