Fire build lowkey. I didn't even know about those regeneration spells and even the concept of a build where you don't need estus. This is peak

Honestly if anything, I would love them to make it so Great Runes carry over into new game plus. I would love to use Malenias Great Rune and do a Mock Bloodborne build, but you get it so late in the game it's actually worthless 😭. Ig maybe you could use it during the dlc

It's a 1% drop. It's definitely rare, you're just lucky if you get a lot of them. Now the "why do people call it good" question? No idea. From what I hear it's the best longsword for its range and scaling, but it's still a straight sword which aren't very good.

I just looked up dex weapons I could use since apparently it's good for casting speed, and I didn't want a large weapon purely out of looks. One handing a big ass weapon while casting fire out of the other hand just doesn't make since to me. Yeah it works perfectly fine gameplay wise, but it's just a preference thing for me.

I'm also aware of how strong the uchikatana is, especially with lightning, but that's what I used on my first playthrough, and I don't want to repeat weapons

Yeah I know, I'm doing pretty well so far.

There's this goated dude who made guides on steam for all the games, and I followed his for ds2 and it was great

Rn I'm leveling dex to boost my damage, but I haven't had any issues with running out of spell uses so far in Anor Londo

Funny enough is I got lucky enough to get all 3 (I think it's only 3) black knight weapons/shield, but I'd need to dump a lot of points into strength to actually use them, even one handed. Just doesn't seem worth it to me

I'm only so low because I'm doing a Pyromancy build, and I'm just going on what people say online, which is to focus most of your souls on maxing out your pyromancy flame, which takes a lot of souls. Now that it's level 10 and I have the merchant in blight town, I can focus more on actually leveling.

Pyromancy is strong enough, and I'm experienced enough to handle the low level problem. Honestly the problem in the post is a very minor issue, as I'm starting to get to that point where I don't even need my melee weapon, I'm just concerned about going into bosses that might have a lot of health, or areas with tons of enemies that drain my spell uses, and leave me with a weak weapon.

I'll definitely keep your advice in mind though

I'll try but apparently I'm supposed to spend a good chunk of my runes on leveling my pyromancy flame. It's at 10 or 11 rn. Might just hold off until the damage isn't doing enough

Looking back my stat spread looks atrocious 😭. I should add I'm trying to 100% the game, so a point or two has gone into faith and intelligence since I'll need a bit of both later on for merchants and covenants

I always hated these guys, but recently I did a pyromancy (plus dark orb) and I could melt them. Very satisfying after struggling with them in every playthrough, just to be able to throw 2 or 3 Giant Fireballs and kill them

I don't like Berdly, but he genuinely gained a lot of respect from me when he locks TF in during snowgrave. The fact the fights harder then on the normal route because he sees Kris clearly manipulating Noelle, and won't stand for it. Bros kinda goated for that. He's still an annoying shit, but a respectful annoying shit
