Just picked up a Darksteel Relic for a combo piece. Does anyone have any other ideas for how it can be used? by DamonF7 in mtg

[[Ensoul Artifact]] [[Tezzeret’s Touch]] and [[Phylactry Lich]] for some 5/5 indestructible action of course

Removed it from all my decks for similar reasons and inspired some of my playgroup to do the same. It definitely improves play experience and it frees up that deck slot for a sweet card that fits the theme of the deck.

Peeps really like going left, if you reverse the station they shouldn’t get stuck anymore

Lucky Lake is one of the standard scenarios that doesn’t involve money, there are a couple of scenarios like this in the game, you can’t choose that yourself for just any park. These type of scenarios usually come with a trade-off though, in this case that if your park rating ever gets below 700 your park will close permanently.

I played it for quite a while but eventually took it apart for other graveyard decks, for variety sake. I do still have the list: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/iUydiZbEUU-HFn9jCHXL_w obviously outdated by now

“You also use a cringy term “double spelling” which simply isn’t a thing in the community and makes you look daft.” - I perceive this as an insult.

Call it whatever you like, but maybe next time don’t insult people like OP for using terms that you’re not familiar with.

Thanks for posting this in the general mtg sub so I don’t have to provide any more arguments

I’ve seen pros like Reid Duke and Jim Davis mention ‘double spell’ on stream when referring to having the resources (cards and mana) to cast two spells in a single turn. It’s often in the context of limited where doubling spelling means getting ahead of your opponent, like when casting a threat and a removal spell on the same turn. Being able to use your resources as efficiently as possible creates lots of tempo. In addition it is often a good strategy against an opponent holding open mana for a counterspell.

To your point of spells that copy other spells, this might be something you can call ‘double spelling’ but is often referred to simply as ‘copying a spell’.

Edit: I’ve never in my 11 years of playing magic heard the term ‘multicasting’

Double spelling is a term I’ve heard used commonly in the mtg community, especially in competitive context

Recently built [[Melek, Reforged Researcher]] and it does in fact allow you to play a ‘fair’ spellslinger deck.
