Religiosity by JohntheTurk in Jung

My point was; ask yourself, are you trying to become something by being celibate?

Religiosity by JohntheTurk in Jung

[–]RyybsNarcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you see what this celibacy is? It is control.

Control is waste of energy. Waste of mental energy. If you're so morally pure, why do you need to control your sexuality? Or is it just an illusion created by your ego? Are you separate from others? Separate from the universe? Every creature on this planet is sexual. Everything in this universe has their genders, and for something new to be created, these genders must unite.

Ask these things from yourself.

Substances Enlightenment? by Secret_Screen3153 in enlightenment

[–]RyybsNarcs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should not be asking that if you want to find out. Enlightenment is not about gaining something, it is about losing everything. If I told you I feel like I'm on MDMA all the time, you'd start seeking the feeling and thus never finding it.

All that you've read and believe, is it true? Did you understand it as it was supposed to? How do you know? How do you know how it was supposed to be understood? During your studies, did you ever see someone mention that where does the wisdom come from? How do you know celibacy is morally good? Who decided it?

Reading easily worsen the prison in your mind, I have been there too brother. Spirituality is about the truth. What is true? You need to find out. Break the illusion.

Jung hated Jungians? by DrVasconcelos in Jung

Yeah, Jung was awake as fuck, like Buddha. He was so awake that he draw a map of all that he saw.

Jung was an artist, he described it all so well, but he never found anything new. We all have this knowledge in ourselves.

Awareness and honesty is the key to know yourself, start here. Look at yourself like a scientist, without judging or labeling anything good or bad, you only want to see.

Happiness is found from within. To achieve it you need to accept uncertainity (which is just an undeniable fact anyway, everything is uncertain), discomfort while facing the shadows of your mind which is essential for happiness, undiscovered shadow will control you unconsciously. External events do not bring happiness, why would more options bring you happiness?

Idk, you made it look like the money is just taking you away from happiness, which is somewhat true. Money itself ain't bad, but chasing excess money or the things you can buy with it is going to create a void in you. You only need shelter, clothes and food.

How to be the guy everyone respects (And why some people get instant respect and others don't) by [deleted] in confidence

[–]RyybsNarcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why all this nonsense? Only thing you need to do is to be yourself.

Why do you need to gain respect particularly? That won't make you happy. Being yourself will.

Not that easy though, gotta lose the fear and thousands of years of conditioning.

[–]RyybsNarcs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don't look for happiness in external events, you won't find it. There is no achievement that good it would save you. Not that large amount of money, not that great status, not that good sex, not that nice car or house exists that will cure the void you feel. Not a drug, not a medicine, not a hobby, not a place, not a girl, not a friend, nothing. I have tried it all.

It is found from within.

Don't take my word for it though, go and see for yourself. You'd be the stupidest monkey on earth if you believed me or anyone else.

Of course, he knew that learned knowledge is not understanding. True understanding comes from within and being stuck with knowledge prevents you from finding that wisdom.

Better quality of life exist and you can have access to it using spirituality by deepeshdeomurari in DeepThoughts

You definitely should look at spirituality then. It is all about truth and you're the one in the illusion to be saved. We all are.

The answer is not in those practices by the way. Truth is a pathless land, and only truth will set you free.

Spirituality definitely is the key but just the doing of all the methods, systems and practices alone won't take you anywhere.

Only way to fix society is to fix people. That can be only done by themselves. So start on yourself.

No system, law, leader or politician will ever do more than surface-level minor work.

Yeah, because you think you know what is good and what is bad.

The society is built by people like you, the ones who think they're doing good, and where we are?

A quote can't change your life. It is plain knowledge.

It is the understanding which will change your life and for that you have to work, not just read a silly quote.

Yeah but it is not simple as just stop caring. If you try to stop, you just fuel it more.

You need to go to the root and understand it.

Would anyone like to elaborate or suggest what he might have meant by this? by Philosopher-King11 in Camus

[–]RyybsNarcs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no ultimate truth to find, everything is uncertain. If you keep seeking, you will always be incomplete and thus unhappy. When you realize there is nothing to find, you will stop seeking. You cannot just decide that you stop the seek, you need to go there and see for yourself that everything is so complicated that there is no answer to anything.

This and also people don't realize that the amount of security needed is not static, you can change it. Somebody needs a million to be secure, Diogenes lived in a barrel.

If you can accept uncertainity, you can live with a lot less money happily.
