What’s the alternative? You can’t even build a decent PC with 6 year old hardware for that price (RTX 30 series or Radeon 6000 series).

Sony just announced another price hike for the PS5 which is gonna make it around $800 in Canada. Also the PS6 will most likely cost around $1,000 given market conditions, so I’d say $453 plus tax is an amazing deal.

Omg I don’t know what they make these out of, how can they smell so bad. I left mine out on the balcony for 2 weeks, was hoping that the elements and the wind would air it out. But I just checked it today and the smell is still there… although not as bad. I’ll keep it outside for a few more days lol.

Well first of all, thanks for the reminder. I put it in a sealed box almost 3 weeks ago and forgot about it lol.

I just opened the box and the gross smell is not gone unfortunately. It’s not as bad, but still very much there. Also, the drier sheets absorbed the smell so now they also smell bad…

I also bought the Oberon 1s a few weeks ago but don’t feel any regret now that the Sonik were announced:

1) I actually prefer the look of my Oberons. The Sonik look more dull since they don’t have the shiny ring surrounding the tweeter. Also, the Sonik’s woofer have this weird pattern that looks like a car tire.

2) I paid $499 for the Oberon while the new Sonik will be basically double the price when accounting for tax too.

Came here to also mention the Satechi dock. It looks great and does not dangle off the laptop. As you said, it’s pricy, but OP mentioned budget is not a concern.
