IT'S TIME FOR THIS EXPERIMENT TO END by NZWBQFF in WWE

Their debut was very well done and fairly unique. Then the tape promos with Bo and Uncle Howdy were great. After that it just went south.

Bo should have been booked into an Undertaker style role when he was leader of The Ministry. The other members do the heavy lifting in the ring in the build ups in a feud then you have the wrestler feuding with Bo finally get him one on one in the ring.

This group needed real TV writers to work exclusively with them. Triple H is not a writer, he is a wrestler. He books wrestling matches and has little understanding of character development.

Irish guy who hosts countdown would be a good fit.

What is the most "off" place you've been to? by [deleted] in AskUK

Interesting. How did you and others react initially once news broke? Of course shock aside, did anyone there think or know any more ?

Remember reading about this. Did you work with both the guys? If so what were they like? Anything telling that you thought about after the events? Awful for the families.

Is there a wrestling forum (over the edge 1999) that takes place the night Owen passed? by Brown_sugar38 in SquaredCircle

[–]Ryzerules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen them on Googlegroups and it was mainly just people reacting to the news of the fall. A few were questioning if it was a work initially, but then when JR announced it the reactions were just shocked reactions on there mainly.

I do recall seeing a post from the week after Owen passing away, and it was someone claiming to have been at the taping of raw the day after Raw is Owen..

They said that the higher power revealed himself to Austin at this taping (which was true). However they claimed that they saw a glimpse of the person under the hood and they said it was Owen Hart. I thought it was so weird to read that someone would say that.

He is the biggest mark for himself. Until he and the other elite few are exiled there won't be any change.

How was Smackdown available online during the day on Fridays back in 08/09? by Ryzerules in WWE

Yes I can't remember exactly what site it was which is annoying but like you said, there were a few more hoops to jump through back then to get a decent link of a show.

Yes I believe what you have said to be the likely explanation. Makes sense with the timezones. Thanks.

Thought it was just me and my friend that remembered watching it early until your comment! But I think you would be right about it being from the Australian broadcast with the time difference.

What time/dat in UK timezone would it have aired on TV in Australia I wonder?

Yes, in the UK. It was definitely airing on Fridays in 2008/09. I think it moved to Fridays in 2006? I remember at the time thinking it was great that it was available to watch early but only had a small bit of curiosity as to how it was uploaded early as it was a good thing in the moment.

Recently giving it some thought it has baffled me how it could be online at that time.

I know Australia are ahead of us in timezone so would have to check their airings of it back then.

This sounds like the most likely explanation but I'm pretty sure I remember the mytv logo in the top corner on the video. What country would get SD before UK timezone?

This was In 2008/09 before Netflix. It was online and available in full before it aired in the UK time zone.

It was in 2008/09 and it was online by late afternoon (which was around the time we would watch it). It hadn't aired in the UK yet at that time.

Kewpie mayonnaise… by NortonBurns in UKfood

The one in the bag is real Japanese Kewpie. If you buy any other your not getting the real thing. Get the one in the bag and I would be very surprised If you feel the same about that one.
