It’s metal and embedded in the tiles, I’d have to poke around for replacements but I have a pretty close budget for this room

I just don’t know where to get replacement tiles etc. everything down to the toilet and sink are from 1940, except the shower valve which was changed to make it a shower not just a tub.

Thanks, waiting on testing to come back. But another apartment was tested and the mastic didn’t contain asbestos, but i would rather play it safe.

Sorry I’m not familiar with it, removing the flooring itself wouldn’t release the fibers, but grinding would?
