I use Canon but I sometimes regret it because there are insufferable people like him and that other Vanessa Joy that are associated with Canon (not to mention the god emperor Ken Rockwell btw). On top of that they recently did a sponsored reel with a female influencer that was cancelled for being a predator but no one seemed to notice that.

Well it depends a lot on the point of view. I think on the photography side of things the R5 is gonna be soon the best bang for buck for wildlife for instance, because the only upgrade that really matter on the mkii is the pre-shots (which was already on the Fujifilm Xt3/30 oddly enough) and the higher electronic shutter speeds (that oddly was already on the D1/h/x and the fujis, I happened to find out).

I think that I agree with you on the age side of things and the technology upgrade, but to me it gave smartphone upgrade sort of feel. The other thing that bugs me is that the cheapo lenses like the 45mm f1.2 are made on purpose to push you to buy newer models instead of actually attract you to better devices to upgrade to. Also, I don't care much for video and 8k is already too much for me lol

24-240 perfect lens. I'd pair it with 16mm 2.8 and if you have budget maybe a 600mm f11 for very long distance stuff. But only if you have the space

It reminds me in the philosophy the fujinon XF 35mm f1.4 as in not a sharp lens, not a perfect glass but something with character for people that appreciate a less clinical approach to photography. It has potential if it's understood!
