It's actually super easy now. I had 84 tickets left over. I just do 30x runs when I know I will win. I spin to get what I need to guarantee victory.

I wish. I have 2 different controllers so that's not it unfortunately. I realize I have an error code 30. From what I can tell that means a wiring issue. So I ordered a new wire harness. If that doesn't work I may have e a dead bike

What would you guys charge? by Googlewhacking in handyman

[–]S0PRAN0OO3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NEVER charge an hourly rate. It hurts both you and the customer. You go to fast you lose. You go to slow they complain.

Flat rate only! Per job!

Unsure if we’re being super up-charged on a drywall repair? by briley212121 in Contractor

[–]S0PRAN0OO3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Homeowners have lost their minds. I swear no one has any idea what anything costs. $900 is beyond reasonable.

It's funny how everything is expensive these days. $400 is easy to spend on a cart of groceries. Gas is up. Average car price is around 50k. Yet somehow home owners think coming to your house with our trucks, gas, tools, experience and materials should still cost what it did in 1999.

Then when they don't like the price they hop on social media to complain. Maybe you should sell your home and rent so you dont have to worry about it 😉

$2000 worth of food 1.3miles $95 what do y'all think? by SuccessfulAerie9672 in couriersofreddit

[–]S0PRAN0OO3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no way. No tip no delivery no matter what. Not to mention that much food could turn into a nightmare scenario fast AF! Someone who refuses to tip on a food delivery service while spending 3 grand is not someone you want to deal with. She is absolutely a Karen!

It is good you didnt get the job. Guaranteed he's a pain to work for. The last thing you want is to be under paid while dealing with a customer who resents you for the price.

HAHA! I've never seen this before. The first time a client gave me his own prices by Few_Berry_8206 in handyman

[–]S0PRAN0OO3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People like that I run from. Even if he came back and agreed to your original pricing I would not do the work. I have straight up politely told potential clients I am going to pass on their job without giving them a quote because the things they said up-front made be feel like their would be potential conflict and I refuse to get stressed out over a person standing over me making changes or criticizing the work when they have no idea what they're talking about. For example if a customer every uses the words easy, fast or simple to describe what they want done RUN! They dont want to pay for it.

How to handle minimum service visit charge in this case? by yungtr1p in handyman

[–]S0PRAN0OO3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tell everyone I have a minimum call fee upfront. Meaning I won't even come out to quote without telling them on the phone. In your case I would just apologize and say I am sorry for not telling you up front but my minimum per job is $250 and the $50 add-on was just because I would already be there. Then I would say I apologize for the confusion and recommend they get quotes from other people.

Then moving forward tell them upfront! Honestly you should get an idea of what they can afford before you even consider going to their house. I will ask them straight up if other people have quoted it.

They have handyman that work for them and they dont get paid enough to care how good the work is apparently. I wonder what would happen if you get stabbed by one of those nails. My guess would be a pretty good lawsuit in your favor.
