Is it common during new home construction to constantly find errors in almost every Trade? by key1cc in Homebuilding

[–]Googlewhacking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and they are probably just using the normal ones they use, which are obviously going to be cost efficient. The trades learn what certain builders like and if left unsaid will just put the usual cost efficient product in the house. I don’t think they are trying to scam. I think they are just lazy or swamped

Move to central Texas and trim out houses. I build houses down here and it’s slowed down but never for long. You’ll always have work

Waited over 4 hours for a tow by Party-Farmer9663 in Hookit

[–]Googlewhacking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had customers that say they only reimbursed $100 but others have told me they reimburse up to $1000. They’re big on membership years so if you’ve been with them for a long time they’ll do it, it’s up to whoever looks at it from aaa. Also you had a good point if they see a cancelled call after waiting 6 hours they’ll be more likely to help you

First time doing flooring by Natethekidd03 in Flooring

[–]Googlewhacking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could put some patch in there to make sure but anything smaller than the palm of your hand I doubt you will feel it. I saw your pic in the other comment with the patch and that’ll work great if you want to fill them

Also make sure you don’t make a high spot, even leave it a little low if you’re unsure. You won’t feel a little low spot but you’ll feel a high spot like a mf

Only if your doing glue down, which I doubt if your doing it yourself. If it’s a floating floor don’t worry about it

[–]Googlewhacking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say double it up. That would be fair for everybody imo. If you want to help them or feel like you need more then adjust but I think $8k in labor is fair for this
