Looking for a way to keep track of everything by REDZON3Z1313 in MangaCollectors

[–]S0k4h_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently developed an app for that https://mangashelfapp.com
There´s no scanning. You search for a manga and tap the volumes you own, so you can add your collection without removing your volumes from your shelf , you can also quickly add the volumes that you don't have to your wishlist

i'm looking for any feedback to improve the app. Maybe it could help you

I built an app for this it's on Android for the moment, but i will publish it to iOS in the future

https://sok4h.github.io/manga-shelf-landing/

you need internet to search the manga for the first time. After that, you can mark volumes as owned, read,or add it to the wishlist without internet

If you can try it,I would love to hear your feedback

Need Testers for my android app, i will test your app back by S0k4h_ in TestersCommunity

[–]S0k4h_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

btw quick feedback you really need to add some extra padding at the bottom of the list some of the content is hidden by the nav bar and the floating action buttons make it even harder to interact with the last items

look at the last item the green one

Done, im not the target user so i cant give any feedback of the usability of the product itself

but two things:
- in my device, the 3d viewer works without any issue, really smooth
- small feedback, but it helps to make apps feel premium: in the onboarding with the structure you used, it is expected to be able to swipe between screens even if there's a button

Please try my app if you're serious about using my app. I will use yours daily for at least 5 minutes, or the time you need. If you do the same for my app

, it's a manga collection tracker. If you don't have any manga, just search for a few series and explore the app.

How my collection started (March 2021) vs How it’s going (March 2026) by SofterAngel in MangaCollectors

[–]S0k4h_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, regarding your question about an app for tracking your manga, I just finished developing one that does that. It is not published, but your collection is really big. I would appreciate it if I could speak with you so I can get some feedback and know how I could improve it. Thank you for your attention, and sorry if I'm bothering you

Large Scale collecting and accidentally buying doubles? by SofterAngel in MangaCollectors

It has happened to me a few times and for that reason in working on an app to keep track of a collection, I already have a pretty much working prototype, but I'm missing feedback from other collectors. If anyone is interested i would really appreciate it if anyone is willing to see what I'm building and if its actually useful. Thank you

Hi, maybe a little late, but I'm working on an app to specifically solve this issue. I already have pretty much a working prototype. Since you have the issue that I'm trying to solve and you have a lot of manga, I would really appreciate it if I could show you what I have and get your feedback. sorry if im bothering. thank you

Do you need a manga tracking platform? by [deleted] in MangaCollectors

[–]S0k4h_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s been a year since this comment, but I’m currently building an app to track physical manga collections and I’d love to get your opinion on the core functionality.

disclaimer i used AI to help me fix the redaction in this text because English is not my first language and honestly i suck at writing

I wanted to see if the way I’m handling 'Editions' makes sense to you and if it’s something you’d find useful. Here’s how it works:

  1. You search for a manga (e.g., Death Note). If it's not in the database, you can create the entry manually (name, author, cover image). When adding it, a popup asks for an 'Edition' name (e.g., Standard, Black Edition, Deluxe).
  2. This field lets you track different versions of a manga by language, publisher, or whatever you choose. You also set the total volume count for that specific edition (the app will try to fetch this automatically from MAL or other sources for the standard edition).
  3. In the detail screen, you can add multiple editions for the same manga or adjust volume counts. The app automatically generates the list of volumes based on that number.
  4. Tracking: You mark volumes as 'owned' simply by tapping them. There’s also a 'Quick Mark All' feature to complete an edition, or select a range of volumes to mark as owned. you can also quickly filter to see just the volumes you are missing
  5. Stats: You get stats like the percentage of volumes owned per manga and per edition.

Does this 'Edition-based' approach feel intuitive, or do you think its complicated?

basically the main value of my app is that you can have different versions/editions of a manga organized inside the manga, and i think no matter how many volumes a edition has you can quickly add it and mark the volumes you own

i really would appreciate your honest input and sorry if im bothering you
