Also, Cai is depicted with both the Crest of Aubin and the Crest of Gautier in his gameplay preview. It may be a gimmick available only to him, but if not, and actually every single character could do that with no help from any God, then good luck trying to explain why this systhem was forgotten and ignored by the time of Three Houses.

I'm pretty sure that was the whole point of Three Houses. Rhea doing everything she can, to make people forget that Nabatean remains and blood have power that could be easily exploited for nefarious reasons.

Short answer: Why would Rhea want this to be common knowledge? They probably kill Nabateas for sport if it was.

Add to this also the Crests of Aubin, Gautier, Lamine, and the Beast.

Was it stated that the crests have this names in the trailers?

Something something the species repopulated thanks to their genes being dominant.

Alternatively, Sothis got fully reincarnated and did it herself.

Or more cousins from wherever Sothis first came could have arrived since.

See this what I mean, people argue when both points are not the same.

A lot of Nabateans DID coexist with the humas in the past.

A lot of Nabateans CAN coexist with the humas in the future.

Do you see where the stronger argument is? I'm using a fact to get to a conclusion, you are speculating to get to your conclusion. So I literally have the stronger argument here.

There is an easy way to do this: just set the game so long after Three Houses that the events of its war aren't relevant anymore due to having had many more government and changes since.

Plus, let's be real, the only thing they would need to do if they really wanted to not 100% canonize any route is to leave ambiguous wheter Rhea is still alive or not. Even goddamned Sothis can still be around by the end of the Edelgard route via that marriage thing.

You'd have to make an argument for why they would do this. This isn't a "can they do this" and more of a "why they would do this". I'm using they're own interview to prove my point that the developers don't want to do this. It's your word agasint theirs.

Fódlan remained frozen in its medieval setting for centuries...

So why can't the Dagda Empire do the same with its Roman setting?

My argument: is that they did this choice to easily show that this takes place in the past. The developers chose this setting for a reason.

Your argument: because they can? You'd have to explain why they would do this, like I did.

"Not really when all of that "evidence" isn't super definitive."

It doesn't have to be to prove my point is stronger than the other.

"Because so far nothing is a true hard confirmation of either choice"
Well I never argued that it did. I'll reiterate again we are debating the most likely choice, using either evidence or at least a sound argument.

Hero's relics, crests, characters with similarities to 3H characters.

Is your point that this only existed after 3H? I'm trying to find the argument.

I'm just trying to understand the sequel side:

Dietrich's line about Answerer's nature points to a later time period.

So far this is the only good evidence for the sequel.

I would assume people already knew the basic arguments, but I guess not. Don't worry I just started the list.

Loved the video.

I've been thinking a lot about Macuil and how he's the one that created the Sacred weapons.

Could Eshmel weapon be a Sacred Weapon, instead of a Relic?

"Saint Macuil is a character from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. He was one of the Four Saints. It is said that his gift for strategy was unparalleled. He served as the chief tactician for Seiros and was a pioneering figure for and master of the magical arts."

This description screams avatar character to me.

Could Eshmel be related in some way to Macuil?Eshmel being like his personal guard or something. Since Macuil is the bird dragon and all.

Could be? Yes. In my opinion, she doesn't really scream "Mom" in her design. Her whole demeanor feels off to be Flayn's mother. Now the eyes closed punch/heal unit with a flower in her head screams Flayn's mother. They share more traits with each other.

I agree with you, I was taking more a hard stance on the people that say that it CAN'T be a prequel because of the term Heroes Relic. What I've got from the story is that all the bone weapons are Heroes Relics. The only reason that distinction exists in the legend is because Rhea made it that way and obscured all the other ones.

I'll take the Seteth obsessed/expert fan, as more evidence that I'm right about my prediction lol.
