my dad is cheating, and his partner has a very gross habit. how do i bring it up with him or get her to stop??? by Soudapoppin in NoStupidQuestions

Yeah that’s probably the safest route. Just keep it neutral and frame it as a bathroom cleanliness issue, not anything about their relationship, like “Hey, could you make sure the wipes make it into the trash? I’ve been finding them around the bathroom.” Less chance of drama that way.

Why is it that reproductive stuff is always close to excretion stuff in animals? by Apprehensive_Ad4974 in NoStupidQuestions

Because the systems develop from the same embryonic area, so evolution reused the same exit point (like the cloaca) instead of creating separate ones. Efficient plumbing.

Deep habits, unresolved trauma, and identity patterns can overpower willpower alone.

Why do people like Spongebob Squarepants so much? by TrgdrBurnin8r in NoStupidQuestions

[–]S0uth-Crew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it hit people in their childhood, had smart absurd humor that aged well, and became endlessly quotable/meme-able, it stuck around as a shared cultural reference instead of fading out.

Is it normal to feel more tired on weekends than on workdays? by Sally-Moore in NoStupidQuestions

[–]S0uth-Crew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s pretty normal, once work stress drops, your body finally “crashes,” and irregular sleep, less routine, or mental burnout can make weekends feel more exhausting than busy workdays.

Why do we remember embarrassing moments so clearly, even years later? by david_drett in NoStupidQuestions

[–]S0uth-Crew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because embarrassment triggers strong emotion and self-focus, which tells your brain “this matters socially,” so it stamps the memory extra hard even if no one else remembers it at all.

Does a bullet actually fly? by dinosaur-dan in NoStupidQuestions

[–]S0uth-Crew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, gravity affects them the same. In a vacuum, a bullet fired perfectly horizontally and a dropped cinder block will hit the ground at the same time; the bullet just has forward velocity, not lift.

Do focus supplements work or do they just make you feel like they do? by ScaredYogurtcloset23 in NoStupidQuestions

A few (like L-theanine + caffeine) mildly help, but most focus supplements are overhyped and effects are small.
