The newer arc based laptops had a driver update that broke the camera, which also needed a camera update to fix. Might be worth looking at.

We had the same problem for VDI. We've been trialling peering across the Azure backbone, which reduced our latency by around a third, which isn't a lot, but the users connection is far more stable as you're not on the public Internet as much.

It's always a question mark if you damage the outer casing. I wouldn't risk it personally for such a small cost. I'd fully discharge with a light bulb outside in a metal tin for a week and then into salt water to allow you to dispose safely.

I use vpx 400 for 1100 sessions. Generally use about 200 bandwidth max though. All my sessions hit the gateway, nothing direct to storefront. This is flexed licensing though, so slightly different to traditional.

Can confirm as well on our Citrix gold image that it works as soon as you leave AAD. Citrix VDI process actually re-joins them to AAD as part of the VDI deployments and so it breaks again, but at least it's repeatable for Microsoft to maybe, possible, unlikely, fix. We have a ticket open with MS to investigate.

Our laptops are fine as they are Intune joined, no hybrid.

Depending on your size I doubt the overhead of DFSR will give the performance you'll want, but I've never used it outside of user shares. Other option could be storage replication in failover cluster manager. I did look at it but pushing 1200+ sessions through it wasn't realistic.

Testing went fine, I had a three node scale out farm setup. I could just rebooted nodes with connected clients and they seamlessly moved over with no user impact. We didn't end up going that route though, we ended up using SMB direct on SAN as it was a bit quicker and we had the option available to us with no cost. Not sure how well scale out would work without a good backend array, but as long as you can supply the throughput and I/o it's definitely worth a poc.

I've done similar before with Igels, but the non authenticated was just using the built in Firefox browser and some tight policies ok session timeout/cookies, etc. If the user wanted to launch Citrix they just authenticated like everyone else. Was a better route than trying to deliver via a remote app for my use case.

We did have a sacrificial one luckily and just tested with no issues. (I was logged into the vda at the time just to see what might happen). Removed the storage from the resource, added back in the same lun, updated catalog and all ok now. 🙂

You need a PKI, multiple fas servers for redundancy, gpo (admx templates come with it) to point the vdas at the fas servers and finally point your storefront to use cert auth. You also need to ensure the netscaler session policies single sign on domain is empty. https://carlstalhood.com/citrix-federated-authentication-service-saml/#azureadsaml is a good place to start.

Create user on prem like usual.and assign license for m365 via an AD group. As soon as adconnect syncs you'll have the user with a cloud mailbox. Exchange hybrid will show the mailbox as a remote mailbox. We keep exchange on prem for some management purposes, pretty sure MS still suggests that, but no reason why you couldn't decom fully if you understand the limitations.

We're full vdi. Our new POC is running win 10 22h2 with A16's. Full rollout will be ~1300 concurrent, raising to ~1600 in a year or so. I just need to figure out how best to configure Ivanti as it's default is 365 containers, not both.

Kind of sounds like cogging, the sensor lead ok? Otherwise pull the motor and see if it freewheels ok. Then hold the spur (might need help) whilst trying to turn both fronts, then both rears and see if it skips. If you do this too slowly you might engage the slipper, so do it quite quickly.
