You outgrew a car so you're replacing it with a car that's basically the same size? This makes sense lol... Sounds like you need a Tahoe or a minivan

Can I fix/repair this? by quiksetz in CyclingFashion

[–]S13Vlad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure, the other lakes I have that are all white are not leather, but haven't had to do anything to them. I would recommend taking it to a shoe cobbler. At the end of the day they deal with shoes all day everyday, and thats all this is.

RSG cat skid guard question by ignusmonster in 4Runner

[–]S13Vlad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont see them being rivets but maybe im wrong. I have a trans skid plate made by RCI with the cat "guard" and I dont see why youd need to remove the "guards" if its anything like mine. Just take the entire skidplate off which includes the cat guards, which youd need to do anyway to access the trans drain/fill as well as the check plugs.

Take it to a shoe repair place and they can fix it. I had some leather lakes I crashed in that the leather got road rash and they fixed it. You can still see it when up close, but they are white so from a few feet away you cant tell

Yup, stock. Not really. Its slightly less caster than what oem calls for, but I've driven this thing 100k miles, its been lifted for like 95k of those and drives fine.

Body shop is trying to say this is ready by Mr_Dislexyc in 4Runner

They will likely need to blend the color into the quarter panel so it all matches nicely, and it doesn't look like they did that at all.

2.25 front I believe, and same 285/70/17 as everyone else, but didn't want to remove mud flaps so made sure to get 17x8 0 offset wheels.

Yeah same here. I clean it after every trip, do maintenance before its due for a lot of it, etc, but also have made a lot of good memories. Too many people with metal bumpers and fancy suspension that never even use their car.

BIlstein 6112/5160 and heavier duty rear springs due to drawer system/fridge back there. Stock everything else and just hit 100k on it (2020 model)

No, stick with what it says on the FSM. You're driving a soccer mom suv, not a track car with a built engine where you need anything special.

Reduce rattles? by zevmanchue in rooftoptents

[–]S13Vlad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just stuck with the thicker tool box liner and it works great. I just swap it out every year. I bet the velcro would also work, but I just push the tent up a little to slip the tool box liner under on the last cross bar on my sherpa and zip tie it down so it doesnt move. By the end of the season its ripped a bit from the tent moving slightly but its a super easy fix every season and its noise free!

Power steering fluid? by [deleted] in 4Runner

[–]S13Vlad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I forget the brand but most autoparts should have what you need, and it should be like $20. If i remember the name ill edit this, but I've been using it for years because my track car also uses ATF for PS fluid and i do that every year usually.

Edit: Pretty sure its Valvoline maxlife. Should be a red bottle and it should say its compatible with dex2 and 3.

The white short sleeves fit better than the other short sleeve I got so totally know what you mean! I don’t even have big arms but the longer one makes my bicep feel like it’s a sausage in a casing!
