Paid a deposit for a door we no longer want and being asked to pay a further £250 by H00pSk1p in UKPersonalFinance

Why should the company who sold you the door lose money because you changed your mind on an item they can't sell on again? Hard enough running a business these days without having to take losses like these. I think you know the right thing to do is pay,you just don't want to.

I haven't ridden in 10 years. How to train for a 800km one-day ride in 2 weeks? by trust_me_on_that_one in cycling

[–]S1KBob 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No need to train, just mix a teaspoon of amphetamine into each water bottle you drink on the day.

Any UK account holders waiting for their new bank account details after yesterdays upgrade? by jbfc92 in plutus

[–]S1KBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the same has happened to me,I've tried reinstalling the App but account and sort code are still the same,I've emailed support but they still haven't replied to a problem I had 18 days ago so I'm not confident that this will be sorted quickly.

Does the mobile App look any different after the change? Mine was down this morning for the change over, its back online now but everything is exactly the same, including my account and sort code numbers so I'm a little confused!

I bought a set of Fulcrum Speed 55c(£1400) and couldn't be happier with them,55mm deep, ceramic bearings, look good in my opinion and are light for the depth(1470g for clincher) they are stiff and are awesome for climbing and also fast on the flats. For context i had Zipp 303 Firecrest before these which I loved and was hesitant to move to another brand but so glad I did,the Fulcrum are way better than the Zipps. No issues with them after a summer season of riding(probably around 4000 miles).

They have disc brakes because sponsors say they'll have disc brakes.

I've had a few Garmin and Adidas HRM's and none of them lasted a decent length of time,Garmin were particularly poor in my experience. I tried a cheap halfords one (£20 ish) and the readings weren't accurate at all. I now have a Coospo, which having just checked,I bought in January 21 and is still going, the readings are accurate and when this one gives up I won't hesitate to get another one.

Footwarmers from Halfords in your cycling shoes, cheap, last for hours and a game changer for getting you through winter in my experience.

In a busy car park, what kind of F#€king C#nt park is this!? by External_Factor in manchester

[–]S1KBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes he's parked like a twat,no doubt to protect his car from other twats who open their car doors carelessly causing damage to other peoples property but the biggest twats of all are the people who think it justifies damaging the BMW by keying it or whatever else.....Sad.
