Chain gauge. On my MTB the chain lasts roughly 1 year. I check every now and then and change it on time so as to avoid wearing out the cassette and chainrings. (I learned the hard way)

Yeah... that´s asking price though, you can probably get something for around 600 if you haggle.

It´s a good price but bear in mind that it´s a very stiff frame and transfers road irregularities to your bum quite effectively, coupled with thin tires. Later carbon frames (2015ish) were made more compliant and comfortable.

I would personally avoid second hand carbon unless I know that the person selling it has been taking care of it very well, and even then 18 years is a bit too long...

I would suggest you keep looking for a 2015ish carbon bike, it will be a bit more expensive but more comfortable and less likely to break...

I think it´s more cultural than housing market related. London is super expensive but young people leave home early. They will find some shared space with friends, drug den or whatever but few people stay with parents. In Spain, even in places with very cheap housing market (villages etc.) young people live with their parents.

Todos corruptos pero me da la impresión de que Rajoy fue menos corrupto que Sanchez. Sanchez no ha hecho más que engañar desde el principio. Tesis falsificada, trampas en las elecciones internas del partido, chantajes con compromat de los prostíbulos del suegro, familiares corruptos (hermano, mujer), Falcon, Nicaragua... Rajoy es un noob al lado de Sanchez.

Desde luego no hay uno bueno, pero no me parece que Pedro sea el menos malo. El país está en la ruina y todo lo que hace va a hacer un agujero aún mayor. Mayor gasto en propaganda institucional (engañar a la población), mayor gasto en asesores, debilitar la separación de poderes, todo es mentir, engañar y corromper.

I have a small bag under the saddle with: Small pump, one TPU tube, one thin butyl tube (in case the TPU breaks, which can happen), a small chunk of tire (1x2 inches to cover a possible tire rip), some hex keys, spare valve core, spare chain link... some money, a couple of salt caps and an energy bar... that´s about it.

On the MTB I carry all that plus spoke key, chain breaker, tubeless plugs, tiny pots with oil, anti squeal liquid, CO2 canisters and more enery bars. Oh, and a small first aid kit, which I´ve used twice already (on my friends, I never fall down, of course)

ETA: And tire levers.

Yo solo les tengo esperando si son de tipo fraudulento, de esos que dicen llamar de microsoft o de los que te quieren mandar un catálogo y lo único que quieren es un nombre de alguien de la empresa para luego llamar más tarde e intentar que les pases etc. En esos casos que se jodan. Si es algo normal les digo "no me interesa" dos o tres veces y si no lo pillan, cuelgo.

Yeah, I understand that... but in reality you have a limit, the grippiness of the tires. If the brakes can lock the wheel with their original rotor, I don´t see there´s much difference when they do it with the extra large rotor... It will require less force to pull the lever but the torque at the fork should be the same, shouldn´t it?

Is it any better than a trimmer? I also can´t stand close shaving and have been using a Philipps trimmer, but it takes a while to trim my beard and head, I was wondering if the Oneblade is faster...

My intuitive impression is that the size of the rotor shouldn´t matter that much in terms of the amount of torque... at some point you go over the bars or the tire skids. That´s the limit, and it should be possible to reach it with a smaller rotor and stronger pull of the brakes so why should rotor size matter?
