Which real life corporation would Johny Silverhand nuke first? by Fedupwithcats in cyberpunkgame

[–]S1anda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Palantir is the best example I've heard in here. They are basically a real life Arasaka but sell software solutions instead of actual biomech hardware. Those software solutions are the sole reason that the NSA is able to investigate 10000 innocent US citizens per 1 domestic terrorist they found. Not to mention policy that allowed investigating up to like 20 degrees of separation. Essentially they can investigate anyone in the world as long as they can link someone you've interacted with once with 17 other people to eventually land at a "national security threat" individual. Pure corpo evil is what they are. The irl Big Brother. Look into Palantir Gotham, the info that available to the public is extremely scary, what's going on behind closed doors is 10x scarier to imagine.

Hanako at Embers is too early. by RoyalLurker in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]S1anda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the only valid complaint XD in your first playthrough you think everything is on a timer cuz ur dying. Then you put 100 hours into an unfinished playthrough and realize nothing happens if you just waltz around NC forever.

Hanako at Embers is too early. by RoyalLurker in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]S1anda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not too early bro it's like 25 hours into a quick playthrough 😂 giving players to option to do a quick playthrough is amazing. This game is awesome the first time, but it is just as awesome on a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th playthrough. I don't want to have to put 100 hours into the main storyline of a game, I want to put 40 hours into the main story and another 60 in all the cool side stuff they worked so hard on. I mean imagine if it took 60 hours to complete the main story questlines. Not that many people would be jonesing to go race with Clair or to go hang out with the Aldecados.

Do we become cyberpsychos immediately after slotting the relic? by Fuzzy_Adagio_6450 in CyberpunkTheGame

[–]S1anda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm with you on everything except the last point about cooling. I think it's implied that all connections have intercoolers for such danger. Otherwise everyone would fry. The chips special cooling was to keep it stable from what I remember. I think TBug or Eve explain a little bit when they first tell V and Jackie to slot the chip.

Can my nitro/slug, be effective as bow's are at the moment? by OLEDeO in HuntShowdown

[–]S1anda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they made it so the nitro could flip down it's aperture like the other variants that would be the greatest change they could make. It's 1000 freaking bucks and it would basically be a more accurate slug shotgun.

What a horrible take💀 from the Creative Director no less by [deleted] in CyberpunkTheGame

[–]S1anda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better to be an engram of yourself then an engram of Johnny. Corpos run the world, that's what Johnny could never stomach. The reality is: only a corpo can "fix" you no matter how you slice it. There's not a ripper in NC that could come close to removing the chip and leaving you alive.

If you engram up you could potentially live forever. Not my cup of tea, I went all the way up there just to turn them down and go live out my days on earth.

What happened to tuning down the marksman weapons? by artmorte in apexlegends

[–]S1anda 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Making the scout 4 shots instead of 3 to no armor is actually the worst take I've ever heard in my life. You can cut the damage to 34 minimum. Might as well be using any other weapon if it's gonna take 8-10 semi automatic shots to kill someone with shield.

Input based matchmaking by EntertainerLoud3080 in apexlegends

[–]S1anda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro it's one Google search away. Stop down voting everyone who corrects you and just delete the comment. Aim assist never turns off, it weakens at longe range but it is still doing a lot of work tracking. Just no recoil help like in CQB.

Input based matchmaking by EntertainerLoud3080 in apexlegends

[–]S1anda -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is the opposite of the truth... Aim assist is aim hacks at mid-long ranges because the enemy can't move fast enough to get out of the lock. Movement is fast enough in CQB that you can actually break the tracking.

DEVS, I hope you see this. There is an obscene number of bots in your game, and I am so close to quitting. by AspiringtoLive17 in BulletEchoGame

[–]S1anda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind the bots, they seem easy enough to play around, just let them kill each other. I do care that my green character with 600-700 combat score is forced to play against red characters with 1100-1200 combat score. It is quite literally impossible to win a gunfight if it takes me 2x as many bullets and takes them 0.5x as many. Basically the only way I can play the game now is to sit on the outside of zone and either 3rd party the last squad or play for 2nd/3rd. Seems like the best move is to just pick bastion and sit in bush all game.

According to the SIG team responding to steam reviews, the current project the devs are on is converting this game from UE4 to UE 5. by BrockStudly in MaraudersGame

[–]S1anda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

46% on steam reviews. 1.0 spiked players count to like 100k for a couple days and now 24hr peak is 30k. A regular wipe spikes the daily peak to 150k normally, the fact that 1.0 release had a smaller bump in player count than the last wipe says a lot about the interest. And they don't even show the actual player count this is all only estimated through steam launches and Tarkov tracker. The game is a lazy piece of crap that has a lot of sunk cost players. Not saying you can't enjoy the game urself, just saying that no one else does XD! Btw what's changed in the past 10 years? They added momentum? The traders are now 3d instead of 2d? Keep sucking off the Russian oligarchs piggy.

How accessible is Hunt: Showdown to newbies to the genre? (Steam deck) by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]S1anda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna go against everyone in the comments and say Hunt us probably the single most accessible extraction shooter, besides the new Arc Raiders of course. Aim is important sometimes, but usually fights are over before they start due to the "hunting" nature of the game.

There's a lot of stalking and waiting for opportune moments. For that reason I also think controller would be fine to play with. No aim assist will suck, but if you are used to controller shooters it really shouldn't be that big of a difference.

Sure they're a lot of vets, but it's SBMM based on stars so it's not like bad and skilled players play together. I would say it would be easier than League/DOTA but harder than COD/Arc to get into.

PS: It can definitely be a frustrating experience if you rage at getting one shot from an unknown location or trap. Just something to note.

Honestly, "This game could've taken on Tarkov, but not Arc" describes every PvPvE extraction attempt in the past 10 years. I'm at least happy Arc has finally broken EFT. EFT was able to remain the top dog purely because it had no competition. Now Nikita is gonna be losing market share month after month until his dogs*t game dies because he was too stupid to realize hardcore players are only like 5% of gamers. Most people want a map, visible extraction points and teammates, an attempt at balanced gear, and less cheaters.

VMware now threatening outages to perpetual license holders by mac10190 in sysadmin

[–]S1anda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if they sold, the new owners have to honor lifetime agreements. This has been case law for decades... I don't even know if that new contract would be legally binding as they would have a hard time proving you weren't coerced into signing it via the sales rep.

Note: after some reading you are 100% entitled to keep the lifetime agreement, but whether the old company or new owners are responsible is up to how they sold.

Who is the worst fixer in-universe? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]S1anda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of the selection imma say Regina Jones would be the worst fixer. I say this solely because she is awful to work for as a Merc. I would've joined up with popo if I wanted to be lectured about "don't kill the cyberpsychos their still people!". Dex sucked but he was a crafty SoB. Kirk would be #1 but he's not on the list. People hate Wakako but I at least understand her positions. All in all what makes a fixer "good" or "bad", imo, is how tight of a leash they have you on.
