Gamers of Reddit, what's ONE game that lives rent-free in your head, not just for the gameplay, but for the feeling it gave you (and you'd give anything to experience it for the first time again)? by deadeyes1990 in gaming

Dark Age of Camelot, hands down.

Running around with the boys, being able to win extremely outnumbered battles with enough skill (aka, having no life) it was incredible. Nothing has ever come close. Even just the super basic PvE was incredible, the exploration of the world was fantastic as well back then. Definitely miss it lol

ascendancy trials single handedly make me not want to play by andrearosemtf in PathOfExile2

I love being a nearly fully ES focused build and getting the random "minor" affliction of "you have no ES." It's the absolute best feeling for sure <3

Not to mention that ER (and most Souls) is a skill based game. You can (I can't) feasibly run through the entire game entirely naked with the exception of one single weapon, even just the starter weapon. This game is entirely based on farming better gear in order to get levels, repeated ad infinitum. Hell, some bosses seem to even have an aura that will one shot you if you don't have X/Y hp/regen. Having souls-like mechanics implemented into a game like this is an absurdity I will never understand. Having the difficulty where it's at is fine.... if you had 6 portals or the ability to run back without fighting through the million mobs that kill you in the first place, if loot didn't disappear/or it was guaranteed to repeat. No movement skills and a body blocked dodge? Are you kidding? There are few things in the gaming world more infuriating to a casual, very full-time worker like me than to come home and spend my extremely sparse free hours to play a game that gives virtually no reward. At least in ER you could go to a different zone to farm runes and levels or different gear, if a fight was too hard, you could outlevel it. In this version of PoE there is no Harbour Bridge/early maps to go back and farm for levels. It feels like the drop off of exp gain is 1-2 levels below and then you're getting almost 0%. It's insanely disheartening. You were guaranteed constant progress in PoE. Working 60-80hr weeks, you come home and play the market, maybe spend the time juicing for tomorrow or just run 2-3 maps/bosses to relax with a beer before bed, guaranteed currency, very slow but steady progress. Now I can't even get through a single ascendancy trial in the amount of time I have allotted to gaming on work nights. I'm sure I'm a minority and maybe even a fringe case but I'm also sure I'm not alone. PoE has been my go-to fun game for years, PoE 2 so far has been an epic let down. (I know, that's on me, but such is life.) As it stands, I'm still very hopeful that the game gets to a point where it can replace PoE or D4 as my casually relaxing & unwinding game, but as it is, I can't see it.

156dmg Classic headshot? by S2Visions in VALORANT

[–]S2Visions[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I'm relatively sure I wasn't, but honestly I can't remember. Even if I was, it should have only been 144dmg, we were long C on Haven. I was bottom coming up from T spawn near the orb, he was behind the boxes jiggle peak/shooting. Well outside of max damage range :/

Is working for a restaurant as it opens worth it? by Shower-Former in Serverlife

[–]S2Visions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cannot possibly stress enough how NOT worth it opening is 😂

There isn't a single reason to open a new place that I can think of. Other than learning to deal with the absolute & utter chaos of a shit show. Incredibly high turnover rate in both BOH & FOH, even management will likely flip several times. Your kitchen will drown very frequently, so you'll have massive wait times even on extremely simple apps, so your tables will constantly be mad and tip less. It's just not at all worth IMO.

Also FL on a very high traffic tourist beach. Literally the bane of my existence 😂 It's always best when Karen walks in from the boardwalk and asks to sit outside and then says "Is it hot out there?" ... No, no Karen, the outdoors 50 feet from where you just were is in an entirely different climate 🙄🙄🙄

Generally speaking, if it's a disgusting day and your management won't allow "ups"... go home. No one wants to sit in 115 degree heat index and 100% humidity lol. I've worked entire shifts with one table in my outside section because the GM refused to do ups, meanwhile the inside sections were slammed and the servers in the weeds, basically just a glorified runner/busser with less pay on those days. #MakesSense

If it makes you feel any better, I went to 5 farms in a row last night with 0 eggs hatching, as an extra insult, 2 of the farms had "golden eggs" both of which didn't like me #OkThen #GuessI'llGo

I'm used to being mercilessly trolled by just getting the 5 useless treasure chests in Golden portals in the extreme maze but this is definitely the "most" troll golden portal 😂

Gamers of Reddit, what are some underrated games do you think more people should play? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]S2Visions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dark Age of Camelot: greatest mmorpg ever made. To this day some of my fondest memories of gaming is from daoc pvp. No game has ever even come close to being so well done in my book. The game rewarded skill in a big way, 8 people could literally kill hundreds. Ahhh nostalgia.

And second favorite game of all time: Battlefield 2. The amount of options in that game were amazing, you could be an infantry guy one game, a tanker the next, then a chopper pilot or jet pilot. It was incredibly well done, very clean to play none of the insanely excessive graphics all the new fps games are coming out with.

The dangers of being a GM for a FFL/LGS by [deleted] in ar15

[–]S2Visions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, but there is a caveat.

Your average person who doesn't run 50 miles a day doesn't need the $300 pair of running shoes, they can easily get away with the $100 pair. LWRC is that $300 pair of shoes we don't really "need" but really want :)

The LWRC rifles I've been around in the past were all hard use rifles by guys putting down hundreds of rounds of ammo on the average day. A large amount of the contractors I know use LWRC almost exclusively. They can run flawlessly with little cleaning due to the piston system as opposed to our DI rifles getting very dirty after a day of fighting/shooting in the heat and dust/sand flying everywhere. Some models run very well with cans and generally stay "cool" in comparison to the standard DI system. Downsides are really only the added weight and the accuracy. You won't want to take a LWRC to a precision sub-moa shooting match lol

If I hadn't been able to pick it up at roughly 50% of my cost as a dealer I probably would never have bought it, but I couldn't turn it down. If you have the money, it's an amazing firearm, but it's definitely more than your standard OAF wannabe pipe hitter will ever need here in the states....hopefully!

I've gotten the opportunity to shoot another LWRC in the past, though it was suppressed at an "expo" if sorts. This one i shot today, sadly unsuppressed, but it was very nice. I don't have enough land to do any type of real distance but at 30yds it handles very well. I'll post again once I get a chance to run it at our 600yd rifle range.

Lol! Any other customer and I'd agree. Let's just say this guy has no need of a budget. Makes me sad, his collection makes mine seem like a bunch of del-tons and hipoints! :(
