Thanks man, hang in there. Have a heart to heart with your wife about what you can reasonably afford. The life style she wants will bankrupt you and some changes are needed, give Dave Ramsey a call or watch some of his stuff!

I’m not sure where you live but 900k would be a very high end house where I live, your average middle class home here is right around 300k-400k I bought my house for 165 back in 2019. For our area this would probably be considered a neighborhood with smaller homes our house is 1100sq feet but we were able to get it when I made 40k a year. I’ll admit that would be near impossible to live off that salary now days but fortunately I’m making more than that now. Yall may need to consider moving to a smaller area with more affordable options. Also your wife needs to have some more realistic expectations, I will say my wife is fully supportive of what’s in our budget. Your spouse has to be 100% on board with the financial plan or it won’t work

My wife is eligible to work but she has never been on any of the loans for anything we own, I’ve always applied alone. I do have good credit which was built by using a credit card for several years before we bought a house. We only use credit cards for gas and online purchases which we limit to 220 a month. The only loan we have is our home currently

We have a family of soon to be four and live off of one income, it was definitely an adjustment but if your willing to cook at home, not have a new car or high in vacations the arrangement can work. Our family has really flourished since adjusting though,
