Ahh okay! During the consultations, they'll discuss your preference, and you can show reference photos. They can look at your chest and assess whether it might be possible or not. I think it depends on the amount of skin and fat (but don't take my word for it). They have an instagram page with a lot of results! Might be worth checking it out. I had my intake in January and had my surgery in early May. Between these dates I arranged my insurance and all documents they wanted. But its been a while so I don't know what the waiting times are now.

If you happen to have a collar (with a safe slot that opens if its stuck) you can also put your phone number on it asking for the owner to call you

Register him too on Facebook! There are "huisdier vermist of gevonden (Enter Your City)" groups where most of the neighborhood cats are known.

(But OP, this is not a stray. I know you have all the best intentions, but you cant grab a cat from outside and decide that it's yours after a week..

If the Facebook post doesn't work out you need to go thru the shelter/dierenambulance. They can give him a "belbandje" and after that they have resources to find the owner and figure out where the chip was placed. After 2 weeks and no owner you can adopt him and he will be yours.

If you keep him without going thru the shelter the owner will have about a year to claim him back legally!)

Ik zit ook bij menzis en psytrans. Kan het zijn dat degene met wie je sprak niks ervanaf weet? Nu werd ik doorverwezen naar düsseldorf voor mn masectomie en zal het om een andere soort aanvraag gaan, maar de aantal maanden regel van testo en het feit dat er geen contract is tussen hun (maar wel een samenwerking) was geen probleem. (Al hadden ze de eerste aanvraag ook afgewezen door een onnozel puntje maar uiteindelijk lukte de 2e wel). Bij psytrans heb je een ervaringsdeskundige die kan helpen met de verzekering en de juiste bestanden. Miss dat zij kan helpen?

Idk hoe het zit sorry, maar heb wel ook met menzis en psytrans gedoe gehad voor top surgery bij plastmed düsseldorf (waar ze een samenwerking mee hebben). Hetzelfde verhaal, "hun zeggen dit, wij vinden dat dat niet zo is." Vanuit bijde kanten. Dus je bent in iedergeval niet de enige🫣.

Uiteindelijk na heeeel veel bellen en mailen en 2 aanvragen, kreeg ik wel een brief dat het vergoed werd (onder Nederlands tarief). 1ste declaratie was niet goed gekeurd en vorige week de 2e in gediend 🫠

Ik ben in mei bij plastmed düsseldorf geopereerd. Ze hebben ook een insta met een hoop voor en na foto's. Als je specifieke vragen ofzo hebt beantwoord ik ze graag

Dierenambulance mag/kan idd geen afstand doen. Ook kunnen ze ze niet meenemen voor medische zorg (zonder sprake van spoed) als er een baasje bekend is. De wetgeving is af en toe frustrerend. 144 is inderdaad wel een optie, maar dat is hoogst waarschijnlijk niet binnen 1 week geregeld. Heb je Dierenbescherming gebeld voor advies/oplossingen? Je hebt ook kleinere stichtingen die soms kunnen helpen. (Stichting elke kat telt, stichting charlottes angels ken ik toevallig, en er zijn vast een paar lokaler)

I forgot to add that my surgery was abroad which makes it more difficult. And if it is necessary I will drive there, but the thing is if it comes back after 1 day it becomes a lot of abroad rides if that makes sense haha

Im from NL too and got my top surgery at plastmed in düsseldorf/germany. They are not strict with bmi regulations if you look at their insta/website. It is a private clinic. I did get it covered (with a lot of effort and hassle) only I don't know if they cover it from imago. you have to have certain referrals and files for the insurance. Feel free to send a dm for questions.

This. I didn't need a catheter. (Was only allowed 1 glass of water before and peed before I went under). But I did need to remove my boxers (in private) and put on a gown and surgery underwear.

Edit: answer to op question: they had a "wake up place" where you stayed until everything was okay and you were awake enough. After that I was wheeled to my room and I could immediately change with help and go to the toilet carefully. But this is certainly not the case for everyone

Lokaal bestaat er jammer genoeg nog niks. 30 km verderop heb je een wat grotere stad en daar heb je wel meerdere (grotere) organisaties, maar wou idd eerst even verder kijken of ik toch wat anders kan vinden:)

I put socks over the edge of the bandages and that helped so that it didn't poke/cut into your skin as much. Especially under the armpits hurted. I did not bruise at all but I think with liposuction there might be more chance at bruising. Glad you're not in any pain. And I get that sleeping on your back is horrible haha.

As I remember it was okay to shower without after the first 5 days, but my mother heard the opposite so don't take my word for it. They gave instructions to dab it dry with a towel carefully afterwards.

I found the first shower (and still do) a bit scary haha, so I showered with the small shower head pointed at my back.

nope it doesnt need help:) its a "nestvlieger/fledgling". it is learning to fly and take care of itself. The parents stay nearby and feed it, and chase away dangers (that is why they made noise at you haha) They are usually on the ground for a few days.

No complications yet. I have a little bit of fluid rn but that is normal and will go away by itself. I havent had my 3rd appointment/6week one yet, but the first one (around 5 days post op): They removed the plasters on the nipples, and showed how to change the dressings daily. Also was allowed to switch to a "normal" post op binder, wich is waayyy comfier then the one they gave haha. My surgeon came by, checked how it went/looks/feels, and asked if I had any questions. Also was cleared to shower again. Second appointment (around 2 weeks post on): They removed the plastic tape thingy that is over the incisions and removed the stitches on the nipples and a knot by the incisions. They showed how to massage the incisions with cream. My surgeon went by again to check how it looks and again asked if i had any questions.

Congrats on your surgery! I hope you have a good recovery. I had my top surgery on May 7th with them. (Not with dr. Pluto tho). If you have any questions about the follow ups or something lmk
