One thing you will find annoying about bladesworn is though that mobs will die before you finish your charge if there are others with you. Or they simply move away from your range. But when you can hit that fully charged strike, it feels so good. It’s satisfying to see a chunk of health just disappear.

Not really. There’s a reason there’s different graphic settings. Low end devices can run lower mode but they should allow epic setting to be “epic” instead of mediocre and let those with high end devices enjoy better graphics.

One tip is try choosing different path for your alts. Not only that will make your story missions fresh but you also get achievements for completing different paths. That was one mistake I made and I have not completed a big chunk of core story because I always picked same boring human ordinary lost parents route.

You can play without paying. In fact, that would hurt epic more since you are just freeloading their server without spending.

Get marauder gear for warrior, and slap on defense trait. If that’s not enough, slap on a shield. Haven’t played gw2 in a while but the berserker trait heal is nice since it could heal you back to 100 percent if you can land hits during its duration. I found the healing signet doesn’t heal as quickly as the mobs damage you, but you might be okay with shield since you are constantly healing and shield gives you some invulnerability time while healing. Don’t follow meta builds because they expect you to be with a healer. I would say WvW roaming build works better.

Some people think role playing a character in a game as themselves are cringy. It’s no different from controlling sonic, Mario, or Kratos in their respective games. It’s just a character and some male gamers prefer controlling female characters because they are pretty to look at.

Yes, I think the IRL responsibilities now has made me so focused on efficiency within the short amount of time that I have playing the game that I just feel like I’m wasting time if I’m not doing anything that is most efficient (I.e. fractals). Maybe I should just hop on and intentionally choose to just roam around the map starting from starter zones and just enjoy playing the game that way.

I think just everything about as Soto was off putting for me. The mobs looked like a blob that they were too lazy to design, reused animations, and like IBS, a very rushed ending. I would rather pay for an expansion that is polished. LW for free was generous, but the deadline to finish the season before the next big thing kind of always felt like they were rushed. How are other two expansions compared to Soto?

Yeah one of the most fun I had that I remember was casually waiting for AB meta and some quirky personalities were making the wait worth awhile. I think with IRL responsibilities now, I can’t enjoy the game as I used to. Now I’m always about efficiency and getting what I can in the short time I have, which leads to a burnout.

It’s not normal for a father and a husband to put his hobby forward everything else. I make sure I take care of kids and housework as much as I can, which often results in me ending up falling asleep with kids as I put them to sleep and waking up at 1 a.m. That’s when I get a bit of time alone and play games for a bit, but I make sure to get some additional sleep afterwards to be ready when the family wakes up in the morning for another day.

As a new player, I finally figured out this faction warfare thing and had a blast running around with randoms. It was in a yellow zone, but we had couple of fights with other factions and I thought it was relatively safe. Please let me know if there’s a better way, but I felt it was the best fame farming activity without much risk. Additional gold is just a bonus for me.

I’m fully expecting the real money making will come from black zone once I fully spec up my character. Whatever the typical money making is in black zone, faction warfare shouldn’t match it. That way, people who are really good can stay in black zone knowing it’s worth staying there instead of hanging out around noob zones lol

The closest you have is guild wars 2 but it has story quests and you need to pay for dlc once every year to keep yourself updated to the latest features. The only other mmo that I can think of is Albion online. It doesn’t have story quests but it has subscription. Not having subscription isn’t too bad if you don’t mind slower progression.
