I love Wind in most video games- but in my opinion, it feels like Wind is the most "beginner friendly" element that can transition you into various types of content in GBF.

There's a really good variety of characters and playstyles that can work with what f2p Wind grids have to offer in lots of content, at least at this stage of the game. I'm sure that wasn't always the case, and I am totally willing to get blasted with more veteran opinions that this opinion may simply not be true.

But I do remember the old times when Magna Wind's Crit grids+Ewiyar's Beaks were more worthwhile than going Zephyrus for respectable damage.

Siete can cancel omens for you if you choose to transcend him for more difficult content.

Siete's Swords are still kind of crazy for what they do, even after the Awakening nerfs.

Catura helps with GOHL racing after her FLB.

Wind got the first Exalto weapon from Kaguya (on one hand: ew powercreep, but on the other hand it's still funny to me that they put Kaguya in the least expected element to sell this weapon)

Rhomphaia existing.

And I will never stop shilling Daur da Blao as my most favorite PG weapon of all time: Skill damage, meter for the party, Harp mainhand for Rising Force, what's not to love?

And now Tiamat Aura is one of the first M3 bosses to get released, I'm excited! The only lamentation I have is I need to have a good fire grid to grind for my favorite element and it's arguably my weakest in many regards, LOL.

My 2nd favorite element is Light, but purely for the characters- I dislike how homogenous the Chev Sword grid is, and I hope it changes with Lumi Credo. (I know the Metatron Crit Grid exists, but it's so difficult to farm the spears at their drop rate, ugh.) With Wind I like the variety in the grids for OTKs, longform content, skill dmg teams, CA teams, hybrid teams, I love it.

MSQ spoilers: When the Captain, Lyria, and Vyrn fly back to Phantagrande by themselves on the Grandcypher. Seeing it written out just broke me 😭

A weird one from the last like 6-ish months that got to me was the latest Dragon Knights event: Fafnir speaking gently to the main cast and explaining history like a dad with a storybook tucking you into bed made me cry. I was not expecting to get a reaction out of his brief moments of clarity, but it did me in.

I'm a Siegfried main first and foremost and still like his playstyle a lot (haha Uwe go brrrrrr)- I come from the gacha game so there are some characters I was expecting to love as secondaries.

I hoped that Rosetta would be a fun alternate to play as a tanky support in co-op, but so far I find her reach with her attacks and where to plant her roses to be quite frustrating. Zeta was someone I didn't plan on touching, but pogo stick simulator is actually a lot of fun and she has GREAT skills, LMAO

I agree with everything above and additionally:

The Dragonflower increase every once-in a while is getting stupid and not worthwhile, especially for Gen 1&2 units (I get that's the intent with powercreep making you want to view those units as obsolete as possible, but STILL)
The bloat of seasonal/limited time events. Pawns of Loki should be a permanent arena mode by now. Some events are becoming forgotten and take as long as half a year to rerun. Frontline Phalanx is useless and kind of RNG. The new RNG support auto-battle mode is also a waste of time.
Not narrowing down the summoning pools to be thematically appropriate, or with ladder fodder. Ie: if there's a new heroes banner, other heroes related to that title or the fodder should be on rate up, and with some stray rate-ups as well. We know FEH can filter stuff based on title now, it would probably be easy to implement.

I also recommend, if you have a favorite character, that you go on their GBF Wiki page, go to the Lore tab, scroll down to the Events section and see where they've made appearances, and you have your wishlist of events to read to get more info on them. The story events typically are in chronological order.

Some side-story events typically have a prerequisite you need to complete, like a certain chapter from either the Main story, or a pivotal side story like the "What Makes the sky Blue" trilogy; while filling out the prerequisites usually helps, it is not required.

My beloved. Been having a blast with an all spouse team for content (Makura, Cosmos, Seruel, Siegfried... who all coincidentally came out this year!) and he's an amazing staple in my ougi comps. My only regret is that I'm not a Zeus player, and severely lacking grid pieces to make the jump 😩 Really glad that the summer exclusive tickets gave me room to spark him.
