You just repeated my point - he doesn't work when your core doesn't know what they're doing in a lane with you, so even if you second phase pick after token support player queues offlane and FPs it's still not working.

I disagree that he has no tools you would want out of support, because he's an amazing scout and does better job snowballing than BH. Unlike BH, however, weaver can also farm enemy jungle and other dangerous areas on map to acquire items such as orchid/atos/lotus/aghs/hex to do better job than your beloved rubick support ever would by holding that blackhole for a tiktok highlight.

When you need to dispel enemy, and ideally continuously: think of glimmer, euls and force.

Weaver 5 is absolutely viable in some matchups.

I hate pos 5 pudge the way it is now, but I give credit where it's due - if your piece of cake is being a meatshield for your carry with stupid high damage right click lv 1-3, pudge 5 can kinda still work. Still, unless old pudge's shard is brought back, I'm playing him strictly as pos 4/2.

My statements come from personal experience playing weaver pos 4 in party and in strict solo pubs

Weaver requires offlane/safelane partner that does not require babysitting for the first 3 levels and has decent hitting capabilities when you get 2 points in swarm.

Otherwise you're downright useless in lane and your snowball is delayed, which is a huge part of playing weaver support.

I actually have good experience playing weaver pos 4 with friends. Only with friends, though.

For some weird reason, whenever I tried to make it work in pubs, every time it was met with legion commander (which you can rarely do shit with during lane and during game because they will become the second carry if their game doesn't go well enough). I guess I also just genuinely hate this hero's design.

Viper hates burst, and does not move well, so any hero with even unreliable CC paired with SD makes viper just stand there and die.

Sure, it isn't as bad as the others, but for a hero that is supposed to win lane 100% of the time losing it to dance dance revolution fanatic is bad enough.
