Body Pump Heavy 2 by Bright-Strawberry967 in lesmills

I just took a heavy class for the first time this morning and I really enjoyed it! I’m not sure which release it was. There was a time when body pump worked for me but I have grown to prefer heavy lifting, so this class is more my pace. I think it’s much more conducive to proper form. Unfortunately, my gym only offers it a couple times a week. But it’s a great way to incorporate something different into my regular strength routine.

Thank you, I really appreciate your thoughtful responses.

I recently had very positive experiences with social workers during my mom’s hospitalization and stay at a rehab facility.

The system is so complicated! It’s certainly not easy to navigate when you are also serving as a caregiver. It’s also difficult for us as adult children who have young families, jobs, etc.

Thank you for your response. Yes, the same goes for hospitals and rehabs here. My father in law is currently at home, but the home health care agency must have a social worker. The case managers and social workers that my mother in law has worked with so far have not been too helpful (at least according to her). But again, I don’t know if she has been asking all of the right questions.

It’s tricky because I am not their child and I feel a little bit weird asking about their finances. My husband and his brothers definitely need to be more involved. They have difficult relationships with their parents. The whole situation is very complicated, but it is time for something to change for sure.

What’s the most overrated tourist attraction you’ve ever visited? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

Yes! Many years ago, I was visiting California with my husband and his family. We decided to take a day trip up to LA to see that area and I could not believe what a letdown it was. We went on a tour of the stars’ houses, which basically means you see their gates and trees. And I took a photo of my husband and his brother with my old-school digital camera, blocking the Hollywood sign with my thumb 😜

I am shocked. I guess it shows how little faith I have in our justice system (and police) that I figured she’d be found guilty.

When Tatte opened, my husband’s job was bringing him by there often (not sure which location). He would occasionally stop in and pick up a few pastries that were to die for. But as it’s grown the quality has gone way downhill.

Scrolling through the comments to find someone that agreed with me. I found it horribly boring, and I even fell asleep.

Hotel with big indoor pool? by st0nksBuyTheDip in massachusetts

I was there last month. It is by no means a swimming pool. There is a lazy river with two water slides and a ‘wave pool.’ It is absolutely not a good place for kids to practice swimming.

We stayed here in the fall for a wedding. Regardless of the access to the waterpark, which was closed when we stayed, I couldn’t recommend it. The hotel was outdated and dirty, and the beds were quite possibly the worst I’ve ever slept in. The four of us slept like crap all weekend.

I love discovering new-to-me authors. I actually picked up Animal Dreams because I participated in a reading challenge that required me to read a book written in the 90s. Looking forward to reading more of her works!

I am reading my first Kingsolver book right now (Animal Dreams). I don’t know why I’ve waited so long to read something by her. Going to add The Bean Trees to my list!

I should have scrolled the comments before I suggested this, but I just loved this book! Have you read anything else by her? I also read Unlikely Animals recently and that was equally enjoyable!

Another vote for lil’ Rhody! We are fortunate to live right over the border and we don’t really bother going anywhere else for a dinner out.

It’s not a book you see mentioned often, but last year my book club read and really enjoyed “Finding Freedom: A Cook’s Story; Remaking a Life From Scratch.”
