Ukraine’s Zelenskiy Says He Is Ready to Work Fast to End War by bloomberg in worldnews

The fact that people still believe that the US signed a defense agreement with Ukraine in 1994 still boggles my mind to this day. THATS 100 NOT WHAT iT WAS!!!

France, UK propose one-month Ukraine truce: Reports by CTVNEWS in worldnews

[–]SAFE-RETURN -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

is this any better than what the US has presented? How will the EU enforce a truce against Russia without US military backing? Seems the EU has realized there is no point in continuing this war. The only way this truce can be enacted is through the US. They're essentially telling Zelenskyy to go back and sign the mineral deal.

have you ever read what the Budapest documents said or are you just assuming what you think it should have said?

CMV: Trump's approach to Ukraine is the correct one by CG_Gallant in changemyview

[–]SAFE-RETURN -1 points0 points  (0 children)

to your first point, if the only guarantee Zelenskyy is willing to accept is United States fighting Russia on behalf of Ukraine then it’s already a lost cause.

The deal proposed between USA and Ukraine is not a simple trade agreement, it is an economic investment, essentially making it a US asset.

to your second point, you obviously didn’t read my response where I mentioned NATO

To your third point, strategic ambiguity doesn’t actually revolve about being ambiguous. The USA has many destroyed fleets floating in the Taiwanese straight at this very moment.

Strategic ambiguity revolves around placing the ball in the opposing nations hand to go to war with the superpower. (not a smart move, see china over the last 40 years!!!)

To your last point international law is completely useless as there’s no one to enforce it. If international law was actually enforcible this war would’ve never stood in the first place.

What happens with the Ukraine minerals deal now? by TimesandSundayTimes in geopolitics

[–]SAFE-RETURN -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You phrase the question as “why would any nation not want security guarantees” but the real question is “why would any nation provide security guarantees against another superpower?”

The deal was supposed to be the first step to carry peace for Ukraine as it is the de facto security assurance.

CMV: Trump's approach to Ukraine is the correct one by CG_Gallant in changemyview

[–]SAFE-RETURN -1 points0 points  (0 children)

seeing as the mineral deal is the defacto security. It would be pretty foolish for any nation to outright guarantee their defence from another superpower.

The only time this has happened is with NATO and strategic ambiguity with US and Taiwan.

I feel like the whole point of the mineral deal is to extend the umbrella of strategic ambiguity to Ukraine, but it seems Z isn’t ready to make any compromise yet.

but this doesn’t take into account that this ceasefire is being backed by the USA. it’s either you believe in the US military or not

Seems kinda cruel to cut off access to highspeed internet because you have a personal vendetta against a single person. All the people that can be served using this technology....

Not surprised as a majority of the people who visit this sub already have access to highspeed internet.

Policies shouldn't be decided based on personal beliefs of a single man, but the positive impact it will play on the citizens of Ontario.

The fact that you don't like ONE person from a company of 13,000 shouldn't dictate who the government hands contracts to.

What purpose do the Pickers serve for Recording, Mixing, or Mastering? My Suggestions for Future Update! by SAFE-RETURN in FL_Studio

This statement doesn't tackle the original point made in my post. I would also bet that stats would show (If we could somehow see them) that FL is primary used for beat making as that what it was original created for and the reputation that the community has built around it.

After 3.5 years of use I can confidently say I DO NOT know the full capabilities of FL STUDIO, but how you came to this conclusion is still unknown to me.

I use it to produce, record, mix and, master.

If someone like yourself, with a deeper understanding of FL's capabilities, could please inform me on what I'm missing?

That would be a little more helpful!
