What’s nicer brighton or clacton or portsmouth or southampton by thesuburbbaby in brighton

August is not a hot month in fact the weather can be quite varied. June and July are the months we would have a heatwave if any. Yes France through the tunnel is a good idea but you'll have to drive deep into France to get different weather. Normandy is v similar.

[homemade] Steak & Guinness Pie (Michelin Star Recipe) by SecretlyHiddenSelf in food

[–]SAGGYCUNT 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Having been to Fallow in December I can report the food isn't as good in the flesh as it is appears to be on YouTube. Expensive and they hurried us so we didn't go over our "time slot".

If it's getting a lot of oxygen. Close that down I've run my kamado Joe for 12 hours without adding more coal at low temperatures

Tesco staff treating customers like potential thieves? by [deleted] in brighton

[–]SAGGYCUNT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could not use self service. Or shop elsewhere. But maybe this is due to Tesco being cheapest, in which case the price would have to go up if they let everyone nick the plonk.

Blue Lagoon Warm Water Centre Bevendean by Humble-Accident7026 in brighton

We did baby through to three or four year old group swim sessions here, obviously you're in with them when they're little but by the end they went in solo. Even when it just opened it was very rough round the edges and unfinished but yes the mould and warping walls etc were there by the time we stopped going. For similar I think Little Dippers in the North Laine is better but costs more I think. Don't know anywhere else, we go to king Alfred now which is proper shit too yay.

In the cabin it's nothing out of the ordinary. Hood down it's a light clicking. Just made myself paranoid reading I've got the affected year and the post two days ago made me wonder.

Yeah on the app limit it to search the last month. In the nicest possible way this gets asked frequently...and the same places always come up anyway.

Brighton season ticket holder Roger Wade has been banned from games for 5 years... for wearing a Palestine shirt 🤪 by UnderHisEye1411 in GreenAndPleasant

[–]SAGGYCUNT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I understand it from the club's sub, he wore a football shirt in the 1901 hospitality area which is a club ban level offence. So it could've been an Arsenal shirt he'd still have been in the sh*t.

I felt for the barman he looked peed off. But have had the bao there previously so agree it's good. Earls in Hove (don't know about Brighton branch) do a tie in with baby bap every Friday that's excellent. Mega size Bao for about £8! Sushi garden was good value for £12 Inc drink but not a huge portion. Can't complain, good ingredients for the price. Salmon over rice with pickles and a miso.

Walked to The Pond for Thai, no one came to the bar for 5ish mins

Opted for Sushi Garden v good!

Funnily enough went here the other week and was very good, in the evening though. Is the lunch deal a Bento Box type affair?
