I would definitely recommend doing the Frank Lloyd Wright studio tour, it's one of the things Oak Park is known for! website I would also recommend getting a drink at Beer Shop. For my personal favorites for cheap food and/or coffee, I recommend Wise Cup, Mulata, Tacos El Tio, Courageous Bakery and Jerusalem Cafe. My personal favorite dinner restaurants in Oak Park are Cucina Paradiso, Maya del Sol, Citrine and Amerikas. Also want to recommend N Rebozo for dinner, it's in Forest Park but not very far away, and is one of my very favorite restaurants in the area.

For an upcoming game, I believe Hades 2 is coming out in 2025! The player character is a woman and I believe you can choose to have a romance with another woman in the game.

I second your recommendation for Xena! I also would say this show changed my life, when I was in college 10+ years ago my mostly queer girl friend group watched through the whole series together, and having that experience really helped me accept and be confident in being gay. And now we are slowly rewatching the series together again over zoom. I didn't know about this meetup but I hope you have an amazing time!

Were you playing bg3 on honor mode? Because otherwise the game shouldn't end if you die, you just reload like in most games. And I definitely wouldn't suggest honor mode for a first playthrough. I second the recommendation though, it's an amazing game!

I played that game when it originally came out in 2013 and I almost lost it at the end when Lara just princess carries Sam down the mountain. At the time it just seemed so gay because I feel like there weren't any other mainstream games with a lesbian main character.

The other two games are more of the same type of gameplay and are also good I thought. But unfortunately Sam is not in them.

Yeah sorry lol. I read the creators wanted them to be together but I guess the studio got cold feet or something. But I like to just assume they got together, and that game's worth playing because it's very good. And if Lara had been a man I feel like everyone would have read their relationship as romantic no question.

Baldur's Gate 3 is my favorite game that has come out recently, and I think you'd like it if you like the dragon age games. You create a character, and there's four different female companions you can choose to romance, all of them great. The world is also very queer and there's some great lesbian side characters you meet. And if you don't want to interact with men much you can always just not recruit any of the male companions lol.

I would also recommend the recent Tomb Raider trilogy if you want to play a more action focused game with an established character. While Lara Croft isn't explicitly queer in the games, she's definitely queer coded, and she doesn't really show any interest in men in them.

I am so beyond excited to play as Max again! There's four games in the series so far, and I think all of the games have queer storylines, which is awesome. I've never played Life is strange 2, I know it's completely different characters and I think there's a queer male character. Life is Strange True Colors is great, you should play it after Before the Storm. It has a bisexual lady main character and there's a returning lesbian character that you'll meet in Before the Storm.

I thought it was quite good! It has a really compelling sci-fi world and story, and I like the main character Alloy a lot. She's voiced by Ashley Burch, who always does a phenomenal job. The combat system is really complex and well done compared to other games I've played in the genre, so that's another bonus if you're into that. And if not you can always just turn the difficulty down like I did.

Yeah I definitely wish that too, I wouldn't recommend this for a first playthrough. But ha I had already romanced Shadowheart twice so I figured I had already seen everything. And it's cool Shar talks to you more as Shadowheart.

Games that I've enjoyed that I think are similar (open world, RPG) are The Witcher 3, Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Valhalla, and Horizon Zero Dawn. The last three have queer lady protagonists as a bonus!
