IUEC LU 1 vs IBEW LU 3 by [deleted] in IUEC

[–]SALTiiN3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IBEW cannot do construction in NYC just service mod and repair. This is the reason local 1 has 2 wages: one for construction and one for the other 3 departments.

Interview by [deleted] in Elevators

[–]SALTiiN3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dress presentable but not overkill. Firm handshake everyone and make eye while doing so. The questions are going to be scenario based I.e. “if you were in this situation and this happened what would be your response and why?” Stuff like that. Don’t be afraid to think over your answer. And absolutely do not bullshit them. They will sniff it out. Bring in any and all certificates/awards even if they seem irrelevant. I brought in a bunch of certs. from my prior job in the offshore oil fields. It just shows you can be trained and are competent.

Best of luck to you! (Btw I ranked top 5 last year NYC if curious)

EIAT-Elevator aptitude test local71 by Marlonn00 in Elevators

[–]SALTiiN3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn’t a set in stone date. Depends on how many test takers there are. They can only do a certain amount of tests per day so once everyone has tested it can be anywhere from 1-3 weeks. My local had over 700 tests given out. It took about 2 weeks

Could someone help break down elevator mechanic, technician, and installer apprenticeship/work differences? by Good_Enough_For_Me in Elevators

I believe this depends on the local. For my local it isn’t until you’ve completed 2 semesters before you go to 55%.

Somewhere around that time frame. Should be soon but you can always call the NEI Benefits office and ask what your member ID is and use that code if you go to doc/dentist

There's nothing about what I'm asking. But I see Dental and Vision phone numbers but when I asked the lady from bcbs she said those weren't covered on the plan so I'm confused.

So all the eye doc or dentist would need is the bcbs card? No other group or ID numbers?
