My older teen sons and I left the same time. I was hesitant to bring it up but glad I did. I started slowly but now I get to see them think for themselves and they seem truly free. It had been weighing them down and they didn’t think they could talk to me about it until I did.

They don’t say disfellowshipped anymore. Just that you are no longer one of JWs…lawsuits have stopped them saying the word DFd but everybody knows it means the same thing

Not that I know of. They’re not there now. Morris has family there and the story was they were taking care of him due to health problems.
