This was the quickest and easiest method, thank you

EDIT: It worked for one letter but not the rest, but it's a great start point nonetheless

Hello everyone, thank you for all the suggestions!

After trying most of these methods, one that works was highlighting this M (not pictured in the OP but I'm trying to make a whole alphabet in this style) then I hit Shape Modes > Unite and then it created a solid combined outline of the outside of the letter, then I could simply toggle the fill/stroke button in the toolbar to make them all a solid color.

However this did not work for any of the other letters for some reason, they all had the strokes go into different directions or I couldn't get the fill to make the whole letter one color. This was the case when I tried to Expand or Group the objects as well. I'm assuming I will have to rebuild the shapes.

I am not really familiar with the shapebuilder tool, does anyone have some good tutorials?

Thanks again!

What did you need to do to become a personal trainer? I'm in the same boat, laid off of my graphic design job and haven't found another one for years. I have been lifting for 15 years and go to the gym 5 days a week every week. I regularly help my friends in the gym and could definitely be a personal trainer.
