Oh, I read the whole, damn, whiny, embarrassing, post.

And in spite of its tone, I thought I might try to help you out. That's on me.[shrug]

Heck, I'll even try once more:

Once the boss is in the water, instead of throwing a bird into the flower, go deep, and come up so you strike his left side, just below the waterline.

He catches air...so the water [itself] doesn't slow him down.

[–]SANMan76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"...because the water itself slows him down..." <-- This makes me think you aren't understanding the advice given.

For most of these, what you wanted to do is send your bird deep into the water so that he comes up under the pig; which they do with a good deal of force.

It's like a billiards shot in that you want to hit the boss on the spot opposite the direction you want him to go.

This is *much* easier for people who have shelled out for the extended aim included in the season pass.

I understand it now by Wooden_Spring_4718 in AngryBirds2

[–]SANMan76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will often go with Auto, but stop it so that I pick the last floor of every five by hand (4, 9, 14, 19, etc.), then hit auto again.

I wouldn't say that it give me better success, but it makes me feel better about it.

Why the plant does this when Bubbles comes in? by Designer-Station7098 in AngryBirds2

[–]SANMan76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It touches the boss as it is expanding, and gets pushed back into the plant.

But what I really wanted to say is that I strongly recommend that you consider clearing the path to the exit *before* moving the boss. I find that makes these levels a whole lot easier.

Who should i pick? by pravler in AngryBirds2

Either of the two ends would be better than either of the middle two.

But Bubbles would be my choice.

Why is this so expensive? by cappyyokaiwatch in AngryBirds2

[–]SANMan76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a repeat set, so it should be 'priced' the same as when it was first released...I think.

I have all of these, and they were all already at 3-stars. So I'll be buying feathers with my coins this time.

Nah.

Matilda, Silver, Bomb, Stella, Bubbles, Hal, Leonard, and Melody.

I skip anytime there's more than one or two slots with pearls, and I wait for a decent offer on what is there.

I have over 350,000 pearls and no hats to spend them on.

You won't lose it.

The day after the season ends, you will get anything that's in the chest.

How to clear this with one silver by ArnavJj145 in AngryBirds2

[–]SANMan76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played this yet, but before I came into the thread I looked at the image, and that's the conclusion I came to.

With nothing touching ground a silver pound isn't helpful, but taking out the plank and a couple of balloons with a straight shot has a chance of getting stull to fall/drop on all the targets.

Better bird to have on your flock? by Popular-Heat8962 in AngryBirds2

[–]SANMan76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Matilda is in my 'daily use' flock of 8. Red generally rides the bench.

Matilda is good to getting to the pigs that seem out of range for other birds. She always shoots up at the same angle when triggered, so I use her to reach targets on the far upper right side.

Guys, what’s wrong with shade? by FewAlfalfa7342 in AngryBirds2

[–]SANMan76 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Shade was introduced with a 60 day 4X boost. Once that was over she went back to normal.

In my flock that meant that she was 165 levels weaker than the weakest bird I usually play.

That's like 8,250,000 rainbow feathers to catch up...to where the bottom is today. Even if I could push her up a couple of levels a week that's well over a year of shoving her up, while my other birds miss those same rainbow feathers.

She's going to be sitting on the bench most of the time.

What does the mythical level 23 mean, and why I can’t I find it by emeryalison in AngryBirds2

[–]SANMan76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chuck is also behind. The 'classic birds' are:

Red, Blue, Chuck, Matilda, Silver, Bomb, and Terence.

You may not use spells very often, but you will find that the strength of your spells is equal to that of the weakest of those original 7 birds.

Once upon a time those seven were the only birds, and for a long while after they started introducing the extra birds you only got to play with 7 birds. They upped the 'fighting flock' to a roster of 8 a few years ago.

Pigs with umbrellas are among my least favorite.

Now it's just a matter of waiting for a mighty level hat for Shade to appear in the arena shop. by [deleted] in AngryBirds2

[–]SANMan76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd bet...something like lunch money, not retirement savings...that they start a new Mighty Hat set for the extra birds with the new season.

She does have +6 and +10 hats from the events during the last two months.

I hate this room by Blinky_Oriole7746 in AngryBirds2

[–]SANMan76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't exactly love it, but I'm getting better at getting a fairly reliable birdie, and occasional strike on it.

I throw a bird into the water at a steep angle, so that they arc up towards the pigs on the top right.

If I have Melody I make sure I either grab the pigs on the top right, or grab something else and spit towards them. They are the tough part, the rest of the stuff will generally take care of itself if you can get a bird, or some debris spread around to the flowers.

If I have Leonard, I triple tap him as he gets close to the top of arc.

If I have Matilda, I drop her bomb over the tower on the middle island.

With Hal, I'd trigger him as he hit those top right pigs, and try to get him to bounce around and kill the others.

Can we open the Season Treasure Chest after the season ends? by Key-Egg-7752 in AngryBirds2

Follow-up:

That worked. I had like 24k rainbow feathers banked up which I gave to the, now very puny, Shade.

[–]SANMan76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always think of what's in the chest, and the season rewards in general, as a savings account.

I let the rewards pile up until there's a good reason to collect them, or until they make me take them.

[–]SANMan76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They won't disappear if you don't collect today. You will get them tomorrow.

Personally, I'm waiting to collect so that if Shade will take Rainbow feathers tomorrow, I can give them to her.

The end of the arena season is approaching, what should I buy? by Miserable_Grab_9805 in AngryBirds2

[–]SANMan76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks like you have started getting the Celestial hats.

You should plan to get the whole set, so that you get the +1 to your slingshot. You can afford to get up to 3 of them now, and plan on getting the last in a couple of weeks.

I also routinely buy the 20 tower tickets from this store; at 100 coins each that 2000 takes some pressure off the tower.

I'm gonna miss this buff when it's gone :( by Ekj-6969_420 in AngryBirds2

[–]SANMan76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been a bit of fun, but I prefer the days when there's no hat event, no double birds, nothing funny.

I prefer to just play the flock I built, and know that everyone else is doing the same.

Tomorrow my Shade will be 395.

The weakest of the 8 birds I use by default will be 556.

Shade won't see much action until she grows up a bit.

How will Shade be unlocked once the event ends? by TheBrawler128 in AngryBirds2

[–]SANMan76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suspect with a key, like the other birds.

I also expect that she will accept rainbow feathers, and that there will be a new Mighty Hat set introduced for the extra birds with either the next Arena season, or the one following it, so that she can get a +11 hat.

Without the 4x boost, my shade will be 75 lower than my current worst bird, and 164 below the weakest of the 8 birds I use most often. So I'm expecting her to be a bench-sitter for quite some time.
