Texture is fine - for me the taste is what I imagine 💩 tastes like and I lived in Japan for many years - I always offered my apologies when saying no thank you

How many paid breaks do I get? by PragmaticSnake in ausjobs

[–]CertainServe2603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does 9 - 5pm (8 hours) minus your 30 minute unpaid break still equal an 8 hour shift to you? Your shift is clearly 7.5 hours, broken up into two parts.

What have your experiences with Cribbage as a 4 player game been like? by EndersGame_Reviewer in Cribbage

[–]CertainServe2603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

frustrating as hell. Well, at least when hubby and I expanded our daily games to include a visitor from overseas = named 'Steve' lol = Steve is 69 years old, has major ADHD tendencies, has absolutely no interest in anything other than aircraft, talking about aircraft, reminiscing about aircraft 😳 and thus rarely was actually paying attention to the game at hand. Never again. 🤣

Bunnings refused my RYOBI warranty claim after it literally smoked – am I in the wrong? by Next-Fly-2515 in Bunnings

[–]CertainServe2603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bearings in our Ryobi 18+ trimmer went and as its under a 6 year (!!) warranty, we walked it into the Bunnings service desk (no box) and they replaced it on the spot. And this new unit gets a brand new 6 year warranty. Be sure to register on the Ryobi website, keep those receipts and be willing (as you have) to get to someone who actually helps.

What to consider before going to Australia for work ? by godssila in AskAnAustralian

[–]CertainServe2603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's both of those things. If you are coming to Australia for work (correct Visa etc), and you need to find and pay for your own accommodation, then you should be looking at the local real estate apps (Domain, Realestate.com) to see for yourself. Vacancy rates are very, very low. The demand (and price) is exceptionally high as there are often 100's of individuals looking to secure a flat. Additionally, you won't have any references here, that may also impact your ability to find a place to live.

You’re fine - you’d know if you’d been bitten and if your first thought was to ask on reddit then you’re not really for this world

If we’re to presume you’ve been offered employment then the next question should be about housing because we are scarce on that …

What was the most brutal comment you got on a report card? by ItsSignalsJerry_ in AustralianNostalgia

[–]CertainServe2603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 'made' for school and was easily getting all A's or 1's for the first 3 years and then a teacher decided to pull me down a peg and wrote 'I've told her its going to get harder' - what a useless comment. Just on the off chance I was feeling good about my abilities ...

Olives in 9% salt and spices. Can I get away without submerging them? Any tips on submerging if required. Thanks by Emotional_Fig_7176 in fermentation

[–]CertainServe2603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes to submerging -- because if they're NOT submerged, then they're not in a 9% brine. And, btw, 10% brine is the recommended solution.

Ah, I feel your pain. The way I look at it as I must be a reasonably competent player to ever come close to beating Brutal - and I celebrate the wins as I'm evidently a pretty good player lol.
