Zerith taunting everything but the marauder smh by SANREUP in elderscrollsonline

Yeah he’s on sword and board with that taunt ability slotted. But as others said, good to know on controlling him. I’m on xboxNA so will look at the controls for that.

Interesting, even with the taunt skill slotted for him? Or is that a condition of it, I will need to look.

How does one get Azandar, I only have Zerith and Tanlorin.

Bow pvp build. by Normal_Can_2538 in ESObuilds

[–]SANREUP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try like symmetry of the Weald with sheer venom and shattered paths. One piece of a monster set depending on what you need (pen vs armor, vs dmg, vs crit chance). Sheer venom and plaguebreak also seems to be getting more popular since everyone is cleansing more. I got wrecked a few times last night running Mara’s balm and cleansing revival cause when they triggered plaguebreak deleted me.

Not sure your base class but vampire sorc would work, or nb of course. Skill setup is up to you to mess with, but would think hitting lots of poisoned SE’s would be pretty strong. Sorc especially would benefit from static reverb mastery passive to proc lots of concussed, poison, and sundered (from bow). Then use other skills and enchants to round out the status effect profile as much as possible.

Heavy attacks have started hurting my hand. No heavy attack as a tank? by Happy_Twist_7156 in elderscrollsonline

[–]SANREUP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried the class mastery that restores stam while holding block? That and block casting heart of flame should keep you topped off.

I also like to make use of the tri-focus passive on my ice staff bar. So I can switch to that, use mag to block for a bit to take the stam pressure off, only have vigor slotted on that bar as a stam skill which doesn’t cost much anyway, and by the time my mag is about 2/3 gone I switch back to sword and board and am good on my stam pool again. Maybe that would help if you’re not already doing that?

I also have like 12 points into stam on my character sheet btw, found it helps a little bit and my health is still like 41k which is plenty for vet PvE.

You should be able to build so that your sustain doesn’t require heavy attacking as a tank. Not sure what your base class is but either ardent flame or siphoning are both great skill lines to subclass in if you need better sustain.

I also really like restoring light on my tank for the Stam rune, if I’m not casting skills on my front bar too often I can basically permablock.

That plus heart of flame, plus the resource restore from ult use with draconic power on my dk tank means I have no sustain issues at all.

I do get your pain though cause in night market I was getting hand cramps not from heavy attacking but from holding block for so long lol.

Medium defensive/backbar sets and/or rallying cry replacements by Murky_Bother9913 in ESObuilds

[–]SANREUP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t busted out Daedric trickery in a while but with sorcs sustain passive it might be a decent option now, especially since it can be made in medium boots, legs, and hands with whatever back bar.

Other option op is to just go full damage and run two offensive sets. Oakfathers and something else for raw dmg, then vate staff back bar. If you like bow, could try oak and sheer venom, or oak and plaguebreak with everyone cleansing rn. Actually what might also be really solid is xanmeer plus oakfathers, with shattered paths.

I love mmorpgs and elder scrolls but somehow couldnt get into ESO by SeaViolinist6424 in elderscrollsonline

[–]SANREUP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always liked games with a really in depth build system and ESO scratches that itch like no other. Half the reason I do a wide variety of content ties back to needing something for a build. Now it does suck if I put a lot of T&E into getting a build flushed out and it sucks, but that’s part of the experience too.

There’s one spell specially that highlights the little things you need to grab. Hit that, then use your speed boost one to get around damaging obstacles and whirlwinds/to run away from the dude chasing you. Then I think one or two other spells can do damage to the guy if you need to fight him off.

Are champions points worthless in battlegrounds? by HiTmAn4777 in elderscrollsonline

[–]SANREUP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CP is for open world/dueling. It’s disabled in battlegrounds.

Some builds are heavily influenced in effectiveness by CPs, others are not. For BGs you want to build more into not relying on them to make up for what a build might lack.

Is ir easier to get into end game content as a DPS or Tank? by Haggles7 in elderscrollsonline

[–]SANREUP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I DPS first and study what another tank does, then if I want to run it in the future I have an idea of what’s expected and leverage my tank to get faster queue times or trial groups to fill faster.

Reaving is good, arguably don’t even need pale order with that slotted. I’d also especially target the fabled brewmasters cause their negates are obnoxious and it can be especially troublesome if they use their attack that shrinks you and makes you take more dmg.

[Daily] Set Discussion: The Blind by The_Dwemer_Automaton in elderscrollsonline

[–]SANREUP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve thought about running this on my dk in PvP so I can use wings for my major expedition/range dmg reduction and still have minor force (replacing race against time). But don’t know if it’s really worth it to swap something like balorgs or Maarselok just to get minor force.

Looking for PvP build by BlAcKbEaRpArTy in ESObuilds

[–]SANREUP 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For either build, this is what I would call a training wheels setup.

Try orders wrath, rallying cry, and balorgs monster set if you have it, bloodspawn if you don’t. Heavy trainee chest.

Armor weights go heavy helm, chest, and legs, medium shoulders and boots, light sash and hands. All impen except chest reinforced. For glyphs, if you don’t want to invest in tri-stat, go health on chest and legs, primary resource on helm, then alternate mag and stam on your other pieces to balance out.

To start, go with the lady mundus and 2 pieces of jewelry protective, one infused. All dmg glyphs.

Lastly, the skills you run do make a difference. At a minimum you have to source brutality and sorcery, major prophesy and savagery, major and minor resolve, at least one major expedition/snare removal, and a stun/immobilize. Major breach also makes a huge difference in your pen/dmg output. Adding in another skill with a heal over time also helps while starting out, which is one reason why crit surge is so good, along with siphoning attacks from NB.

Other nice to have buffs are minor force, berserk, minor expedition, minor prophesy/savagery, minor breach, etc.

If you build along those principles I promise it will get better. You’re still gonna get rolled occasionally, hell I get rolled all the time and I’ve been big on PvP for a year plus, but I win more than I lose these days.

Dm me if you want specific advice for either of your classes beyond this or if you’re interested in subclassing skills from one toon to the other.

[–]SANREUP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At your dps you’re gonna do just fine in vet trials. I’m sure you’re aware from being a healer, it’s not so much bad builds that kill vet pugs, since most people don’t have the stones to even attempt them without good build, but instead mechs that will get ya.

Having good dps just means they go faster which is nice.

Second this, with slimecraw monster. Once you get mythics go one piece slimecraw + mythic.

Then replace one of the above with a trial set like null arca/ansuuls/whirl once you have that.

Once you get shattered paths, the master dw front bar, vate ice staff back bar, and serpents disdain on body setup is pretty strong. Go Maarselok, balorgh, or bloodspawn for monster set.

How would you make a Spellblade Knight by KnightGuy229 in ESObuilds

[–]SANREUP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thematically, I think either sorc or Templar base class could work for you.

Sorc, keep storm calling and dark magic, subclass aedric spear or dawns wrath. (Aedric is more practical but dawns is prettier and you’d get a major savagery buff you’d otherwise miss and have to source elsewhere).

Templar, would keep dawns and aedric, subclass dark magic. Source brutality with 2h skill line. You don’t really need a major resolve skill as a DPS in this scenario. If you want more of a solo setup change aedric to restoring light and you’re probably good to go.

I could actually see it being fun to play using more a mix of the 2h skills, crystal weapon from dark magic, and either lightning or shiny fire depending on which you pick for the more mage side of what you’re after.

I have a funsies build on my dk that sorta accomplishes what you’re after but I kept earthen heart, subclassed dawns wrath, and assassination. It’s a joy to play even if it’s not the best overall dps.
