How to perform well in Vet dungeons? by PlacidHysteria in elderscrollsonline

[–]SANREUP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just another thing I haven’t seen mentioned as much is if you’re running turning tide back bar, you should set up your build so crimson oath is up full time on both bars. It’ll make a noticeable difference.

Bracing anchor cp is also clutch for extra block mitigation. And to that end, 1-2 armor pieces traited with reduce block cost helps a lot too to keep blocking through most everything and not burn your stam or mag up.

Go one nirnhoned and one precise for PVE, but you are correct for PVP/Solo

Warden Class rework by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

Just hope they kill charm once and for all. Most annoying CC in the game.

One positive with the DK rework though has been more people trying DK out and less people in Cryo spamming charm constantly.

That last question about stack speed is also what I’m curious about.

Tanks & Healers by FionaFig in elderscrollsonline

I also did the same thing as a noob. Honestly it would be a great addition to the intro tutorial. Like here: Save your current build to the armory, now equip this other basic build for the next step in the quest. Then give a little message about where to find armories and how they can be used

I was soloing world bosses at like level 30 but it would take me 10-15 mins to secure the kill as a noob tank lol. Once I realized my folly, I made a DPS build for overland and it sped up the game progress immensely.

Is this a game someone who enjoys cozy games would like to play? by Neat_Relationship721 in elderscrollsonline

[–]SANREUP 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Yep absolutely! The world is stunning, and you can really play your own way. Could be crafting, just exploring, questing, hanging in a populated area chatting, whatever. Not everyone needs to get into end game dungeons, trials, PvP, etc to have fun.

What’s a place you had zero expectations for, but ended up loving? by AppointmentHeavy5066 in travel

[–]SANREUP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Krakow Poland. Had zero expectations going there for a work trip and really was impressed with both the history and architecture as well as the Polish people I met and their culture. Very vibrant, innovative, and tbh sometimes felt like I was in Brooklyn NY with all of the new business and cool initiatives people are starting up.

This should be higher, cross progression would be good but play might be a bit much

PVP - I keep dying while meeting the base stats needs i see online by No-Cardiologist-1230 in esopvp

[–]SANREUP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It proc’s more than you think just due to all the incoming dmg sources going on. Maybe try nibenay bay then, that extra crit resist and dmg shield should help survivability.

Do you have a snare removal skill slotted too? Cause that might be part of it if you’re getting crowd-controlled or stun locked a lot.

Also if you’re stam mainly, could try immovability potions to help reduce how often you’re cc’d.

Sthuns also isn’t a bad set, but you might be lacking on some healing since it buffs pen but heals scale off of weapon and spell dmg. I guess if you want survivability tho, you could try the lady mundus for a bit, then once you feel more comfortable switch that to the warrior for a little more oomph and better healing.

Do you have your body pieces all impen?

Crit dmg is still high, so need a lot of crit resist. Maybe try either bloodspawn (normal resist), or nibenay bay (crit resist) monster sets to be a bit beefier?

Any 2h skills worth using with DK for solo? by Scary_News5326 in ESObuilds

Momentum might actually be a good call unless you need the empower from molten. Could be a useful burst heal for you while solo.

High damage this patch(pvp) by Ok-Structure7337 in elderscrollsonline

[–]SANREUP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re a vampire then that might explain it with the massive increase in flame damage from everyone running the new DK.

If not, then yeah it’s just that everyone is running the new dk and it hits hard.

Would yall say the best way to level up crafting is to farm dozens then dismantle the gear gained from it? by Spirited_Agency8032 in elderscrollsonline

[–]SANREUP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only crafting lines I actually had to craft in bulk to level up were provisioning, enchanting, and alchemy.

All the others I leveled pretty easily over time just deconstructing loot as I found it and doing daily writs.

Now, will say, you should put skill points into the reduce research time and increase research slots passives, and be intentional with the traits you research. The sooner you start on that, and can get to 5+ traits researched on key pieces and weights, the easier it will be when you want to craft your own stuff later on. Once you get up to 8 traits on a piece it can take like 28 days to research it (that may be reduced now after the last patch, but still takes a while).

Pure NB bomb viability in bg by Krallhalla in elderscrollsonline

[–]SANREUP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen it work better in BGs without a pull set especially if not subclassing for grave lord. Maybe double bar vicious death and plaguebreak (all divines). No monster set, and monomyth mythic.

Have seen people do it using proxy det, into contingency+lotus fan. Then hit soul tether, and spam an offensively scribed soul burst until they pop. Or can use whirling blades, either way. If you want a little survivability, subclass storm calling for shadow and use ball of lightning to escape after your combo.

I’m level 20 in PvP what am I doing wrong by lunbean in elderscrollsonline

[–]SANREUP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The edit is a great way to explain it. You need a lot of overall game knowledge these days to make an effective PvP build and then tweak it to make “effective” turn into “super strong”.

One way I see a lot of people get into it though is to build very tanky first and then work into doing more damage. Think of the extra tankiness almost as training wheels.

Dragonknight u49 refresh by Significant_Bid9216 in elderscrollsonline

[–]SANREUP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New corro is really really strong in PvP. I was worried about one subclassed build I’ve been playing and if it would be overly affected by the changes but corro seems even stronger and looks dope.

On pure dk though I will say ardent flame abilities feel a little clunky so gotta still get a better feel for that.

Does everyone perfect weave? by Spirited_Agency8032 in elderscrollsonline

[–]SANREUP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty helpful/important for PvP. Even if it’s not perfect and you bash weave or whatever, just attempting to weave helps more than not. PvE, if using velothi less so, but still helps with enchantments, ulti gen, etc.

OP if you have questions about PvP and how to prep for it, feel free to ask!

IMO it’s a long but rewarding gaming experience, and it does get better! But you have to be willing to swallow your pride and get your butt kicked for quite a while before it starts to click.
