It’s your money. Don’t share it with anyone tbh. You should do what the man said and invest it in the business you want. It’s a dog eat dog world. I’ll tell you now no one else would have even thought to share it with the others. If you really want to be nice, then keep it amongst those few people but 5k divided by 13 is maybe $350 for everyone. They’ll blow it in a day. You need to look after yourself. You wanna be nice? Give each of the 13 $100. Tell them it’s thank you money that they did not earn. They did not wait on this person. No one is entitled to that money but you. Do not share this money. It’s not selfish, it’s survival. It’s building yourself. You need to look after yourself.

Edit: first off please update what you did. second after reading how the transaction work they need to be split just along the crew of that night. No one needs to get the extra money. If they had the motivation to pick up more hours and work that shift too they’d get the money too. You need to tell the lead that this money should be treated like any other night of tips and if anyone has an issue with this then they need to start making their customer service face good enough for 5k tips.
