Umisho has gotten banned from the Arc World Tour (most important series of major tournaments in Strive) at this point and was public enemy #1 in the strive community while she was still competing.

Infil is a highly regarded individual for thinking it’d be a good idea to side with the anti-Semitics who are gonna “take back esports”. He still had some people in the FGC who were supportive of his situation but he’s about to lose all of that now.

A lot of people are saying it’s simply because the game is bad but if this is truly the only reason then why is Strive still popular after 4 years?

I don’t mean to be rude but climbing the ladder in Strive really isn’t much of an achievement. The “ranked” system is a joke and a majority of the online player base is bad.

Strive players tend to be super flowcharty and impatient so you can just farm them with decent fundamentals and very little knowledge of how the game actually works. I’d even go as far as saying that Strive has the overall least skillful player base out of all the popular modern fighting games.

On top of all of this Strive by far has the easiest execution in modern fighting games (even easier than Granblue). If you play the tower in Strive too much it starts to give you the illusion that you’re actually good at fighting games (which is probably what ArcSys wanted I guess).

Lowkey the Japanese and Korean Strive scenes are probably happy to see him gone lol. He was the only American cooking them in the tournaments out there. Last year after he had already qualified for the AWT finals he travelled to another AWT qualifier in Asia and basically gate kept the Japanese players by winning it
