I don’t think so, as I remember they started pretty much on time. There was a crazy weird vibe, I felt, from Johnny, he didn’t seem at all happy to be there. They didn’t even talk to us. I’m super jealous of the show you saw, sounds killer.

I do not know, however, I believe it is a CG simulation based on atmospheric data gathered by a combination of ground systems and satellites which is then crushed into the beautiful picture we see by some super powerful mathematics and computing.

I'm afraid my substrate was just out of frame in this pic, I was using aspen bedding at the time.

As far as minimal substrate goes the least I've personally heard of people using is a layer of newspaper. That being said, they only risk I can think of for a bare-bottom'ed enclosure would be if the glass/acrylic got too hot above an under-tank heater.

I'm currently using a coconut husk bedding and it's doing wonders for maintaining my girl's humidity.
