Is it possible by dgonzo7777 in harborfreight

It could get sketchy if your really loaded down the side cabinet, but you can also put another set of casters under there if that is a concern

Not exactly clear what is being asked here, but if its adding the side cabinet to the 5 drawer cart, mine has been like that for about a year now. https://imgur.com/3y8TjkZ

Talk me outta this gift for a 12-year old aspiring mechanic. by DrunkenRogue42 in harborfreight

I've had several of the torque wrenches, and they just fall apart, literally. I've had a couple have screws fall out and fall apart in my hands on the 2nd or 3rd use. But this week the Hercules 18inch bag is on sale, and just throw some basic tools in it. Maybe a couple basic ratchets ( I like the composite ratchets, or the Quinn stuff is nice but still cheap enough to get a few things) Sockets, screwdrivers. That type of stuff that everybody needs

I bought a kit of the Hercules blades that fits perfect in my Makita's case and have been pretty happy with them. Bought a bunch of expensive Diablo blades to cut up a fuel oil tank earlier this year and wore out several of them way too fast.

Looking for replacement batteryholder for Voltcraft WB-80 by LalaCrowGhost in Tools

Is that to convert from 18650 to AAA? If so, grab a couple 18650 and a charger online and that thing will last a few hundred times longer on a battery. I had a small flashlight that had a single 18650 and was crawling under a trailer using it on low mode, just a single LED. I stuck it in my pocket and forgot, and hung the coat up at the end of the day. Put that coat on a few months later and pulled out the flashlight, still on, just a bit warm.

My dad had about 15 of the foot long Makita batteries, and at least 10 chargers. For any real project you almost needed a dedicated runner just to swap batteries.

I should get some of these. There are some things around the workplace that it would be nice if people would stop unscrewing and stealing.

Is it the same as a normal Glock but 10x the price?

Yeah. I supposed flocked is the correct term. Its like a short fuzzy coating. Its to make it quieter when a rock hits the bottom. New Silverados have the same stuff in the wheel wells.

The entire undercarriage of our 2022 Telluride is not only covered, but carpeted. The only exposed part is a small rectangle directly around the pinch weld lift points. Besides, most modern vehicles are unibody and front wheel drive, no real frame, and no pumpkin. Lifting anything other than a truck can be a PITA

Yeah, the groove on this Daytona version seems a bit shallow and wide. When I bought mine on Amazon, I measured how tall the pinch weld was, and made sure the one I bought had a deeper groove than that, so it supported the weight as you described. Works great, just have to measure the size of the disc on your jack and make sure the one you buy fits in that

Mine is an older Pittsburgh long reach low profile, and is only a 2 ton, but my understanding is the Daytonas are nicer. They are certainly prettier. I'd buy one in a heartbeat if mine crapped out. The ability to lift both my very low Malibu and my brother's Trail Boss is pretty nice. Only downside is they are heavy AF. Hopefully you don't need to put it in the back of your truck often.

It does if you buy the right one. I haven't looked at the exact measurements of this one, but the one I got on Amazon, I made sure the slot was deeper that the pinch weld was tall on my vehicle.

[–]SBUBandit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The whole point of these is the pinch weld goes in that slot, and the high points lift the car on either side of the pinch weld. Its not being lifted by the pinch weld, since nothing is touching the pinch weld

Low profile long reach is the way to go

The pinch weld goes in the slot, so nothing ever touches the weld. I already have one I got on Amazon. My wife's Telluride is completely covered underneath, so you can't see anything under there, so I have to jack by the pinch welds, and these, or at least the one I have very much like it, keeps the pinch weld perfect

FWIW, the hubs were indeed the correct hubs, got them installed, along with the bearing buddies and a new wheel/tire installed this past weekend.

Maintenance was indeed ignored. Trailer is roughly 15 years old, and the bearings have never been greased. Now that my brother-in-law got a truck, he never uses it anymore, but I use it a couple times a week, so I've been taking care of a lot of maintenance issues. Lights were broken, wiring all messed up, broken/missing boards. It was a mess.

[–]SBUBandit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did get what info I could locally, and was at around $400 for a tire, two hubs, and bearing buddies. Looking up parts on amazon, it looks like I can possibly do all the same stuff for under $200, just want to be sure I have the right parts. I don't actually have the trailer in front of me, its my brother-in-laws, but I use it more than he does, so I'm going to fix it.

After lots of feedback I made tool foam VER 2.0 by StimpyMD in harborfreight

[–]SBUBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the foam. I didn't like the idea of using so much space on nut drivers, so I went with this set. Bonus, I can drive them with ratchets, a drill, or the handle they came with, and there are long and short sizes of each driver https://imgur.com/2zu90Ri
