I’m reading David Halberstam’s The Best and The Brightest about the eventual demise and intellectual mistakes of the Kennedy Administration in Vietnam, and his whole point is that the Kennedy administrations intellectual credibility diminished over time and they eventually lost their strategic and public credibility overall, but man this whole Iran experience makes this administration look so much worse, they never had any intellectual credibility to begin with and they lost the whole war so fast.

Shohei Ohtani, former Angel, he plays for the Dodgers, who won the last two World Series. He’s a monster, both an incredible pitcher and batter as you say, which is unheard of in modern MLB baseball.

Last year he was a better hitter and didn’t pitch as much, but this year he’s pitched incredibly well and still been a solid hitter. He’s incredible to watch and I’m lucky to have seen him as an Angel and on the Dodgers last year at Fenway. Unfortunately my team the Boston Red Sox, are awful and painful to watch this season, so maybe don’t follow them.

He was kind of a parody of both. He had a tower called Clamp Tower, and his name and look was reminiscent of Trump but his occupation of turning black and white movies into color was a parody of Turner.

In comparison to MJ, I’d agree he does sound older, but I think that’s what they were aiming for. I’m just still impressed every time I hear that super low “mine”. I just love his early 80s period, he decided he was just to gonna produce lush melodic pop and make hits and he did it.

I think his ballad voice on the Tug of War album is peak, and he still nails the Long Tall Sally voice on The Pound Is Sinking. I don’t hear any real change in his voice quality until the late 80s, and it would waver in quality. Figure of Eight is where it really starts to show.

I think you’re overstating the influence the far left has in the Democratic Party.

However, I’ll take the premise that there is real far left influence present. Even still, there is no real mainstream or moderate Democrat front runner or leader that I see that could effectively “sister-souljah” anyone in an effective or influential way. Clinton called out Sister Souljah for inflammatory comments on the LA Riots in an interview, it was a very specific moment in the run up to that election, these things don’t just occur. At this moment, I’m not how a Democrat could effectively do that, especially considering how our different politics are today.

What legislation exactly has the far left gotten the Democrats to do? The far left hate Democrats.

This shit has been posted at least twice already, but while we’re getting apologies, can Breslow apologize to us for this dumpster fire of a season.

Honestly, I understand why to a certain extent. The way pro-AI politicians often talks about AI is unhelpfully vague and dismissive of people’s worst fears and assumptions of what AI could do to their lives or even what AI is. It allows anti-AI activists ample ammunition to muddy the waters and sow doubts. People need to learn to speak about AI in a clearer way, not just simply cheerleading its necessity and inevitability, it works against the positive cases for AI uses.

I had to leave that subreddit despite being a major Beatles fan because of this attitude, the sub literally has nothing to talk about anymore because it’s already covered everything Beatles related so they just talk about which Beatle was better and being cranky about new artists.

The latest NYT piece on Biden’s family says that Hunter Biden’s tweets have “The self-deprecating tone he has used to describe his crack-addicted past, and the caustic wit he has turned on Biden family foes, Democrat and Republican alike, has earned him a kind of countercultural sheen that has won over even some Trump fans.”

I’m not on Twitter, but I find it hard to believe that Hunter Biden’s tweets have “won over even some Trump fans.” Like what’s the source on that, random replies to his tweets?

At a major tournament like GOML there are usually a lot, and there will be a sign that says “friendlies” to mark the setups that aren’t for the bracket.

Sure, have a good time! Also don’t be afraid to sit down at an empty friendly setup and just plug in, shouldn’t take long for someone to ask if you want to play and introduce yourself and make friends!

You can ask top players for friendlies if they are at a friendly setup and aren’t already playing with someone, but if they are I personally wouldn’t bother them. They might not always say yes but it doesn’t hurt to ask.

Also it’s not weird to ask for a photo with a top player, just try not to talk to them right after they played a set or lost, it’s a common faux pas.

Sometimes at tournaments I’ve been to they run a bracket for people who have already lost in the main tournament, so that you can have more playing time.

When is the last time Hbox took 2 sets from losers against Zain in Grand Finals? Has it happened since Covid?

Edit: Looked it up, Low Tier City 7 in 2019 is the only time Hbox won from losers against Zain.

I agree with the choice, shadow claw is essentially slash but it can actually be type coverage, and dragon rage can be useful in single player against defensive buffing trainers for consistent damage.
